We enjoyed the hotel's amazing view from our room, the infinity pool and great customer service. One negative I could say is the wifi internet from our room is no good. However Wifi access from restaurant and reception office is fairly good. I might add that the noise of creaking bed is a bit annoying. Overall it was a great stay.

My husband &I spent 4days 3 nights, they also took care of our transport from airport to resort and back. Resort is only about 30mins from airport. you can have everything you need around the area, walkable to lots of resto, bar and other needs. stafff are very very nice and kind. ocean view room was Fantastic! They also have generator in case of brownout (which i think happens a lot in Siargao) They have superb Thai food and you don't have to worry about clean drinking water. simple but good breakfast buffet. I can go on and on about good stuff with this resort (my first time to write this long reviews by the way). to make the story short. I will definitely comeback and will reccommend this place to friends and family.

Beautiful Resort
It’s a Beautiful and Private Resort by the Beach walking distance from the heart of the GL Main Street. My family especially the kids enjoyed the pools, beach, amenities and the breakfast. Though Siargao is experiencing low power outages, the resort has a backup generator. Will surely come back! ☀️🌊😊

The Thing I like this property was the pool the ambiance.... but when it comes to the room ' Oh boy has an 'agay-ay and ants :( and also the bathroom is really gross looking.... and not clean at all.... so sad i pay lots of money to stay on this Hotel.

We loved the view. Wish we could have stayed longer honestly! The only Issue we came across was our bathroom sink leaking. The maintenance staff took care of it though. The safety lock box in our room was broken, but we weren’t too worried since we felt Very safe during our stay. We would would definitely come back here again.

Absolutely excellent - the staff are very friendly and very helpful! 2 nice pools. The bar closes a little early at 10pm but overall had a wonderful stay!

Romantic Beach staff were so kind and hospitable! They were very accommodating throughout our stay- from check-in, breakfast, scooter rentals, tours, transfers to check-out. The staff went above and beyond - kudos to the team! The location is perfect, as it is beachfront and walking distance to restaurants and shops, and a short ride to Cloud 9. We would definitely stay here again.

I like the ambiance and the staffing are great. Except the owner is not friendly, he sit at the dining table almost every day and didn’t even say hi or greet anybody the whole time we where there.

You can find a much better hotel in siargao, only good thing is the location. Our room was disgusting, the bathroom smelt so bad and was unbearable. Staff had to ask at least 3 times every day (we were there for 5 nights), we were never given towels or toilet paper and always had to ask. Staff were so lazy and to busy talking to each other. I have never experienced anything like it before and am so disappointed as we are on our honeymoon

Stayed on a very busy Easter weekend...
The resort and staff are pleasant, the owner is quite a character, and there are some good eating options near by. I just wish the waves were closer. The resort is on the beach, but a long and shallow reef separates the ocean waves about a quarter-mile out. At low tide you can pretty much walk on dry reef to head out to the edge of the reef and the water. At high tide the water runs right up to the break wall so there is basically no beach. But the pool is great. I'd also not recommend staying in General Luna (GL) the entire time. Get out to Pacifico Beach resort (crashing waves may keep you up at night) or other options away from the main tourist fiasco and enjoy a more secluded stay. Main transportation to rent is motorbike, which can be heaps of fun if you have the skills, or slightly terrifying if you are new to that mode of getting around. WiFi was slow in general and very spotty in our room.

Last minute booking. Extremely happy with our choice. We had a beautiful two level villa. Complimentary breakfast had four choices to choose from; all were delightful. Sourrounding was stunning. Activities available was perfect and affordable. Walking distance to lots and easy access to public tricycles for 30 pesos each person. Staff were polite and knowledgeable. Thank you for our pleasant stay. I would recommend or be back.

OVERRATED
Both the hotel and Siargao are overrated. Unless you are a surfer there is really no reason to go there. There are dozens of destinations in the Philippines that are prettier, easier to get to, friendlier, less expensive and with more activities than Siargao. The continual influx of young western surfers has driven prices up and jaded the locals. The pictures of the hotel are deceptive. It is not a resort but more of a B&B or small hotel with the usual issues of maintenance and cleanliness as most Philippine hotels, cloudy pool, backed up plumbing, useless wi-fi. But room prices are +25% above comparable rooms. The food was invariably overcooked and frequently burnt. Fortunately there are a lot of restaurants nearby. The hotel's selection of European beers was excellent though. Overall 3 Star hotel, 1 star value.

While the majority of our stay was very good, some of the staff members were rude, we had clothing stolen and when it came to get our prepaid airport transfer at the end of our trip the driver threaten to leave us on the side of the road unless we paid double the price.

overall a nice place to stay , you will need to be carefull about getting charged for extra person .King room sleeps 3 and no where is it advertized extra charge , but there is. Also on a family room you will be charged extra for the upper beds if used ,even if staff says no extra charge.

I would highly recommend Romantic Beach Villas to couples or families looking for a quieter, more intimate beachfront hotel with just the right amount of amenities and a very reasonable price. As a couple taking a vacation, we booked the Ocean View room, which was very large, with good AC and comfortable beds - it was big enough for 5! The bathrooms could use some updates, but overall no complaints about the room. It was kept very clean and had all the necessities. The staff were very nice as well - they even had a large hand drawn sign welcoming us when we arrived! Located right on the beach, about a 3 minute scooter ride from the Cloud 9 surfing area, the hotel had easy access to the stunning scenery of Siargao. The property it self is well laid out, with a pool and bar area, as well as a restaurant with a pleasant breeze off the ocean - it was perfect for our 3-4 day getaway. Highly recommended.

Definitely, I recommend this place!
Great! Staff was nice and helpful, patiently waiting for me to figure out the complicated booking arrangements I made for our big group of 18 px. Our complaints: Pool was available only from 8 am to 8 pm. We wanted to soak swim in the pool after 8 but it wasn't allowed. The aircon in our Garden View Room was not able to cool our big, two storey villa satisfactorily. Otherwise, we loved our stay. Food was great! The staff were kind and helpful. Beautiful place. It did not turn out very expensive because the rooms were huge and could accommodate a lot of people so we just paid "extra person" charges for every add on to each room.

We had a great time staying in the resort. Room was spacious and clean. We loved the pool while enjoying the fascinating beach view. Havin morning walk to the beach was amazing as well. It was Tranquil and relaxing place. Nevertheless there was a bit of downside especially when we checked in. They did not reserve the room that i've booked in expedia (garden view, with with loft and 5 people max). Instead they reserved a room that was only good for 2 since they said i booked for 2 people. Nevertheless at the end they have given us the room that we wanted due to luck since the one that they reserved the room for did not show up. It would be better next time that they stick to what room people booked for since thats what was paid for in the first place. They need to organize the reservations well so that people won't get disappointed when they arrive in the resort. I truly hope the owner or incharge of the resort needs to take notice of the reviews and at least take each suggestions into consideration. I'd still come back to the place on my next holiday though coz i do like it.
