"Really lovely stay - the suite was huge, really well appointed
Breakfast was superb
Lovely hosts
Would definitely return - as a person who stays in Marriott/Hiltons for work, often - made a lovely homely change"
"We had the most wonderful stay and truly couldn’t find anything to fault. The breakfast was delicious, facilities stunning and the staff were so friendly and helpful. "

The Victorian promenade offers peaceful walks with stunning views across Morecambe Bay's ever-changing tidal landscape. Explore ornate Edwardian gardens at Ornamental Gardens, then take a short trip to nearby Cartmel village for its famous sticky toffee pudding.
"The hotel is stunning and the grounds around it are incrdible. The promenade walk was out of this world. Very friendly staff and helpful. The pool is very clean.
We had our cuckapoo with us and they were very loving towards him. Dogs are not allowed in the dinning room which wasnt an issue at all as we were allowed to stay on the bar side/dinning room. Lots of choices for food and breakfast. I would dedinitely go back. The rooms are huge and have just been refurbished. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable. "
"Great hotel.
Great position.
Great spa.
Lovely bar area both in the hotel and the separate pub.
Mizumi. Wow. What an incredible meal and a fantastic vibe inside too!
"
"Very spacious and clean rooms with excellent tea, coffee and hot chocolate, but please, three teabags for a room for two? Leisure facilities were excellent and quiet when we visited. The car park is tight, so larger vehicles beware. Walking distance from town centre."
"Gorgeous stay here. Really family friendly with our two small children. Family room was spacious (but stairs so not pram accessible). Breakfast was great, we had lots of fun in the pool. "
"And older property that is tired. However, the room was very quiet despite being next to a door and lift. With the window open 6" it was warm and comfortable. Lots of hot water and a very handy but limited (paid) car parking.
AND the view over Windermere was FAB!!!!!
However, BE CAREFUL when entering and exiting the car parking to the main road - blind corner."
"My wife and i stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary, Monday to today. Excellent staff in particular Reception, Noel & Cheys in Brasserie. Btw the back area needs a few cobwebs cleaning around glass panels, a little off-putting but no big deal. Food excellent, views suberb. Boat trips, Aquarium and steam train on the doorstep. Expedia charged an extra £40 per night for the booking, my bill from hotel was £120 less when it was presented to me, they kept that so i will book direct in future. (Do not edit that bit out, booking fee is outrageous!!) Other than that, it was a wonderful relaxing stay. Pool was a decent size too for a morning swim.Thank you to the staff for making it so nice. Cheers Graham & Linda "
