"A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didnโ€™t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. "

My adult children didnโ€™t find the twin beds so comfortable as they felt the springs however all the pillows and linens were lovely throughout. Location wise, itโ€™s perfectly placed for both Windermere and Bowness and all they offer. Weโ€™d definitely stay again and the secure outdoor space was a real bonus, catching the sun too!"

The Angel Inn - The Inn Collection Group

The Angel Inn - The Inn Collection Group

8/10 Good
"The Angel Inn was lovely and the staff couldn't have been nicer. There were some free things when using their app which were welcome. The inclusive breakfast was great and the location in Windermere was excellent allowing us to walk around the town and to the shore of the lake for boat trips. The rooms were very small even for one person so I think 2 might be challenging and the parking is not sufficient for all guests so it was hit or miss whether you got a space. Highly recommended though."

"Hotel was perfect location for getting to the lake and getting round the local bars/restaurants and shops. The view from the terrace was stunning and the hotel had lovely architecture. The room was ideal and lake view was gorgeous. Spiderwebs and bugs in the high ceilings were the only thing that let it down (we were staying in room 72). Breakfast had good options and majority of it was lovely. Only comment was the black pudding didnโ€™t seem like it was cooked properly. We ate in the restaurant one night and couldnโ€™t complain at all. I had the fish and chips and was one of the best I had. My partner had the mushroom risotto which was also lovely. But would definitely recommend and stay again"

"Robyn and Chris were wonderful hosts. After booking we sent an email explaining we are elderly travelers and if possible would appreciate a ground floor room to avoid stairs. They responded promptly saying they would ensure we had a ground floor room. Our room and the commons area were spotless. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. And we rode a ferry to Ambleside then took the 599 bus back to Bowness and one of its stops was on the corner by Oakfold House. So convenient! Ten thumbs up."
