"Unique experience! Single occupancy hotel that is more of a ryokan on a quaint street. The owner/chef speaks little English but his hospitality shined through his actions. The lodging above the small sushi restaurant is simple (2 bedrooms with futon beds), but with a modern bathroom and all very clean. The highlight of the stay was the spectacular ~16 course sushi omakase."

"Everything about this hotel is perfect. The staff were incredible and very accommodating. The shuttle service was very convenient and made sure to wait for everyone. The dinner and breakfast were both amazing, it was really great getting two meals full of local foods. The view out the hotel window was fantastic, we could sit and just look outside for hours at the deer walking around the beach. It was a perfect mix of traditional Japanese hospitality with modern comfort and convenience. Our favorite hotel we stayed at during our two weeks in Japan."

"Nice and quiet, Im assuming there WAS a bar that is no longer in operation. If it were open, it would’ve had a livelier atmosphere. We stayed for a night so that we could enjoy Miyajima Island at night and not have to haul our kids back to Osaka on the train. It was also nice to see the area early and later outside of the high traffic tourist hours. "
