Staff is excellent, breakfast is great. Unfortunately before my stay two days were of quite cald whether so hotel building was not as efficient to keep warm and our room was cold at about discomfort degree. Fortunately friendly staff provide me with addotional blankets.

The cuatomers were not allowed to use the stairs. This caused big delays and ques due to the many football fans entering the hotel simultaneously. The hotel should absolutely have stair in use for the guests.

Decent hotel with basic rooms
The room was basic and quite small for a family of four. The staff were very helpful and the pool was good. Overall, the hotel facilities were good but the room was basic and a bit small.

The hotel was really well geared towards children, especially at meal times. Although there’s no life guard on duty at the pool and the temperature of the pool is rather on the cold side! The selection at breakfast was huge and the hotel location is really close to the centre but opposite a beautiful park so it feels relaxed. We’d definitely stay here again.

Overall experience was very good. Staff was very helpful and all promised facilities were maintained. At the moment some road construction is going on which made the place noisy. One thing which could be improved is room cleaning.

Ok, but no gym
The gym did not open at 7:00 as advertised. Reception could not help. Waited until 07:20 and went for a run outside instead.

A pleasant hotel with really nice staff. Easy walking distance to the stadium, and a handy supermarket just behind. Only problem is the usual hotel issue of penny pinching masquerading as environmentalism, worst of which being the large breakfast buffet being spoiled by all the "hot" items being nearly cold.

I have stayed in this hotel previously, and some things have gone downhill a bit. The breakfast wasn't quite as good as it has been previously. It was also rather noisy but I appreciate that this had nothing to do with the hotel but the very unfortunate roadworks just outside the hotel. The curtains don't cover the whole window so unfortunately I was woken up by the bright sunlight. The staff in general are friendly but it would be nice if the check-in staff could make the welcoming a bit more personal. I work in tourism, and I have always felt that the initial welcome and contact with the customer is hugely important. I don't wanna feel like 'just a number'. The room was great, and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the Finnish pillows are not very neck-friendly (rather high) so woke up with a stiff neck. The room had everything one needs during a short stay. I, however, expected the shower to be a bit more powerful. Also, is there really a need to clean the room everyday. The hotel says about sustainability, yet the rooms are cleaned everyday. I'm not sure how they can claim being environmentally friendly. Location is convenient - short walking distance to the city centre.

General view
Overall the hotel was fine, breakfast was very good, i liked the sign saying "yesterdays waste was xxx grams per customer as you see some pile their plates and leave half. The bed was very hard and the pillows were really bad square things that my head kept falling off! Recently in Finland i have noticed everything going from being functional to Form over Finland.

Scandic Park is a really nice and convenient hotel, easily accessible also with public transportation. I only spent one night there, in the morning took the bus # 415 to the airport, bus stop on Mannerheimintie, across the street from hotel. Personnel was very friendly and the breakfast buffett was superb. The hotel used to be Intercontinental back in the day but it has been completely renovated, my room was beautiful, bathroom excellent, everything really clean. Hesperia park is in front of the hotel at beautiful Bay of Toolo, so if you are interested in getting some fresh air, go running etc, it's all there.

Great location.
Stayed for one night as part of a family trip. Arrived late with two tired children, check in was quick and efficient. Staff were helpful and friendly. The small shop next to the reception was reasonably priced. The restaurant was closed so we were able to stock up on water for the room and grab a sandwich. The room was a good size, clean and tidy. We were expecting a sofa bed for the kids but they each had a single put up bed either side of the double which was so much better. The bed were comfortable, we all slept really well! The bathroom was large for the size of the room. Hotel is situated in easy walking distance to to the city centre / train station. If travelling with kids, there are several play parks in the park opposite the hotel. Great selection available for breakfast, something for everyone, even a fussy 8 year old!! My only negative was the lack of kettle/tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Did not have a good experience
I have stayed at this hotel no less than 15 times and I usually enjoy my stay. My last experience was unfortunately ruined by a rude frontdesk staff. I was in a hurry to catch a ferry but I was told to wait while they handled my request. 10 minutes I asked if I could cancel my request and just go, I was told to keep waiting. 10 more minutes later, I went to the frontdesk and explained I needed to go to catch my ferry, then I realized they were not even on my case but just told me to wait on the side. The unnecessary wait was not a big deal, but the staff's attitude was impressively poor.
