Beautiful location but they do look at your skin color!!!. Good old Vietnamese tradition. White first, yellow second. Terrible concept.

Amazing hotel and very underrated. The hotel experience was exceptional, from the room, staff, restaurants and amenities, everything was 5 stars. I would definitely book at this hotel again.

Lovely hotel but no near anywhere that you’d want to see in HCM. The infinity pool was great but not much seating or lounges around the pool deck. Restaurants were very expensive by Vietnam prices and local food in the area is not easy to get if it’s your first time in the city. More convenient hotels which are nice are available.

Excellent breakfast, rooms, staff and oh that pool! I had a short stay there sadly due to a delayed flight but they were still able to accommodate my reservation. I would definitely stay at La Vela again next time I am in Saigon.

The top floor has a really big infinity pool, views in many directions, and a bar. There area is really large so the pool is not crowded even when the lounge chairs are taken. It's really nice. The only thing we encountered was one night (a Thursday night) the sky bar was occupied by a wedding and a birthday party, so it was loud and crowded with drunk people. I'm not even sure we were allowed there so we left. The night before it was a peaceful, relaxing place to grab a drink at night. The breakfast buffet was also quite good with a large variety of food stations and Vietnamese, Asian, Western, and Vegetarian choices. They also made lots of Vietnamese milk coffee so you could just grab one and not have to order and wait. Everything else was decent for this type of hotel except the elevators. Although there were a sufficient number in operation (4 or 5), they were erratic and not clear when they arrived or which direction they were going (and sometimes not stopping). The up and down buttons toggled so if someone pushed a button a second time, it turned off. No one is used to that. Almost every time we got in an elevator, someone (either us or someone else) was expecting it to be going the other direction. It's not a huge deal but it's weird. If you stay here, you will see. Otherwise all the staff was nice and the location is convenient to the airport, for grab pick up, and multiple restaurants and a family mart with a block if walking.

If I could I would give La Vela 10 stars review. From the moment i walked in the staff were super friendly and the check in/out process was seamless. Breakfast was included and the selections were huge (delicious food by the way). Also, I’d like to thank the manager Chi Bich Thuy and Dang. They went beyond and above great customer service! Thank you all.

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There are better options for the same price point. The food wasn’t great and was also inconsistent. Staff were nice and accommodating. The room was filthy. There is a casino that is located in the same building and because of the poor ventilation system our room ended up smelling like cigarettes and was very nauseating Food for breakfast was not good and limited options. The quality of the food for room service was great however they didn’t ask for a deposit at the front desk so we had to pay in room immediately upon receipt. Greet gym. Fully equipped and staff there were very nice.

Staff and room were excellent. Large rooftop pool had great views but limited number of lounge chairs and many loose pool tiles (cut my toe). Large breakfast buffet with a lot selection.

We have enjoyed our stay here. Lovely hotel, very big and glitzy. Infinity pool at top of the building is pretty amazing, just looking over the town. Only problem is there is just not enough sunbeds. Had a terrible meal the first night in the Chinese restaurant, had to go through at least 8 bottles of wine till we found one they had in stock. Also only received half the food we ordered and all came separately, so that wasn’t such a good experience. Had a lovely evening last night at the rooftop bar listening to the saxophonist and keyboard player and there we had a great young waiter Nguyen Hong Dat, was very welcoming. Would recommend this hotel.

The view from the top is outstanding, sitting in the pool or relaxing with a cold drink. The staff are incredibly accommodating and provide excellent service. Highly recommend to treat yourself for a day or two

The Hotel was very good - the only issue we had was the in the bathroom - shower door didn't fully open because it either hit the shower head or the handle hit the wall. this only allowed the door to open two thirds - poor design/fit out. Otherwise, everything very was excellent.

The elevators take too long to come. For such a nice hotel, it is surprising that the guests are made to wait so long.

Wow. What an amazing hotel. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Beds comfy - we had a twin room and both were big enough. The pool area was amazing. Infinity pool over looking the city. Room service food was a great price. Drinks in the bar a bit pricey, but the off-set from food made it worth it. Breakfast was out of this world. Mix of foods from across the world.

The property was run down, noisy and didn't have enough seats at the pool. If it was cheaper it would have been fine but we paid $600/night and would have expected more. Also our door wasn't secure- it could have easily been pushed open. It as not in a great area for seeing sights or walking around. I would not recommend staying here.
