Other than its location, it is a very nice place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable

Near city, just park the car at hotel and take direct bus (few options) to city. Spacious room and updated bathroom.

Market Street Hotel is a definite go-to if I visit Edinburgh again. It's clean and modern. I was first assigned a bigger room (Roomy) but it had a small window that looked out onto another building with no view of the sky at all. The front desk readily acceded to my request to change to a slightly smaller room that faced Waverley Station and Princes Street. Breakfast was good, room was clean. There is a lift in the building which definitely helps.
