Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Ocean view was good. However, it was windy on the beach and there was a lot of sea weeds washing up on the shoreline. The facility is new and clean. The pool was fun. We enjoyed the activities."
Finest Playa Mujeres by The Excellence Collection - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"This was my second time staying at Finest Playa Mujeres. My first visit was about 10 years ago when the resort had just opened, and I’m happy to say the quality has remained very good over the years.
The service continues to be excellent. I especially want to recognize Jeremías at the bar and Julio at the Finest Club bar. Both were very kind and attentive and truly made our experience better.
The drinks are even better than I remember from my first visit, and the food was also very good with plenty of variety.
Like any place, there are always small things that could improve. When we visited Domo, the restaurant in the Finest Club area, the air conditioning was not working, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable. Also, at times there was only one bartender at certain bars, especially at the pool bar, which can be a lot for one person when it gets busy.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort. It works well for families because there are activities for children, but it also has adults-only areas for those looking for a quieter stay. I didn’t travel with my kids this time, so I can’t comment in detail on the children’s activities, but it was clear there were many options available.
We would definitely consider coming back in the future. Please pass along our thanks to Jeremías and Julio for their great service."
Villa del Palmar Cancun All Inclusive Beach Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful place will be back. Only one suggestion, make all the water free. There’s no need to charge for water in some places and have free water in others. Service was excellent!!! "
"The hotel was very clean and in a perfect location right on the beach. The staff were very welcoming/friendly and most were always very helpful. However there were a couple of staff members who were quite rude and dismissive which was very disappointing!! But we would like to mention Josue (rooftop bar) who was AMAZING and very friendly and accommodating!!
We had a foul smell coming from the bathroom, so after complaining the staff were very apologetic and immediately upgraded us to an ocean view room.
The only negative to this hotel was the food. It quickly became very repetitive and boring as it was pretty much the same food every day/night as part of the all inclusive package (all inclusive menu was different to the normal menu with very limited choice!!). And we didn’t even know about the special dishes when there was an Italian night. I think the hotel management should review their food and have more buffets in the evening and different types of dishes as it quickly became apparent that most of the guests were eating out and the restaurant was empty most evenings.
Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel. "
"Children Hospitalized, Theft from Safe, and No Support from Management
We travel frequently as a family and have stayed in many resorts around the world, but this was by far the most concerning hotel experience we have ever had.
A few days after arriving, every member of our family became sick after eating exclusively at the hotel restaurants. Our young children became seriously ill and had to be taken to the hospital, where they required IV fluids and antibiotics due to a severe gastrointestinal infection. Continuous vomiting, fever, and dehydration turned what was supposed to be a family vacation into a medical emergency.
When we approached management asking for simple food accommodations for our recovering children, we received no meaningful help or empathy and ultimately had to relocate to another hotel to properly care for them.
To make matters worse, gold jewelry—including my wedding ring—disappeared from our in-room safe. The hotel provided no accountability or proper response.
Service throughout the property was poor and staff often appeared rushed and unmotivated. Despite being advertised as family-friendly, there were almost no activities for children and daytime beach shows included highly suggestive dancing in front of families.
While the beach itself is beautiful, the hotel does not live up to the location.
Due to space limitations, I cannot describe the full experience here. Families traveling with children should strongly reconsider booking this property"
