"This lovely motel was a perfect oasis from which to enjoy San Fransisco and the surrounding area. The location was great and the staff very helpful. I would definitely stay there again when visiting SF."

My hotel stay was amazing. At first glance, the hotel looked old and run down but as I get to my room, it was great. Clean, nice accent furniture. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

it was a delightful 4 nights stay with our dog. There is a huge patch of grass right beside which our dog loved. Glad we decided to stay here instead of downtown (due to safety concerns). Felt extremely safe here. The property has a doorman. The hotel was clean and welcoming. We loved the wine bar in the hotel. Staff all around including housekeeping was extremely welcoming, and some of the staff even remembered our dog's name. Absolutely wonderful we will be back!

Comfortable and cosy environment. Staff is very polite. All enquiries and requests are promptly answered. The home-like breakfast is an excellent start to a day! The hotel's convenient location to food and sightseeing is highly recommendable to first timers to San Francisco, and at a reasonable cost too.

The external of the hotel looks dated, but my room was newly renovated room was very clean, nice furniture and well lit. The cabinet for the microwave was a little strange, because it does not stay up when opened and it was really difficult using the microwave. Felt safe in the area. Not many parking lots, but appreciated that is was free! Many good eateries within walking distance.

Room is comfy for the price...except you might hear doors banging when people close their door next door. Other than that, for that price in sf is hard to beat. Note the hotel is next to tenderloin which is nit exactly a nice area..but nothing happens to me when i return after midnight though

Chris at the front desk delivered truly outstanding service. I arrived on a rainy Christmas Eve after a long 7-hour drive and was greeted with the warmest smile, a complimentary upgrade, late checkout, a welcome bag, and personal escort to the elevator — all offered proactively and with genuine care.
I’ve stayed in many hotels, including 5-star chains worldwide, but Chris’s “customer-first” attitude genuinely stood out. This was my first stay at Luma, and his exceptional service left a lasting...

The room was comfortable in size. One of the better hotel compared to some better known chain hotel. Complimentary coffee/tea, cookies and fruit available 24 hours is very much appreciated.
