"Exceptional Japanese ryokan room with modern facilities and great location overlooking a river and with awesome mountain views. Fall colors were just beginning to come in but it was still a beautiful setting. Surprisingly the room had a lot of electrical outlets which made it easy to charge devices. Breakfast was outstanding. Unfortunately, the Expedia listing did not offer a dinner option which likely would have been a kaiseki dinner. Since I only learned that dinner was not included upon checking in, it was too late to order the full kaiseki dinner. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Sapporo."

"Stayed 2 days with a friend. Food was outstanding but two days food quantity was different. First day was way more than the second day, but I enjoyed so much both days. The room was so nice and enjoyed every moment of it. When we consumed beer in the room I asked to refill and it happened in 20seconds. I love to revisit the place."

"This hotel would have been very grand in her day, but is showing her age. The rooms are huge, but room amenities sparse and towels and yukata are old. It’s primarily used for large groups to use the onsen I think, rather than a luxurious stay. The breakfast dining room is large, as is the hotel, but having breakfast with another 200 or 300 people wasn’t all that pleasant. The rooms have no USB charging ports, and power outlets are few and low to the ground. The view from the hotel is beautiful and amazing and the 16th floor onsen also has beautiful views. For a 2 night stay it was adequate and the price was good."
