"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. Plus, our host was very helpful and attentive, she assisted us to get our luggage forwarded to our next hotel.

"This Kyoto hostel completely overturned my impression of local accommodations being typically cramped. Very clean and comfortable. High-quality beddings. The living room was surprisingly spacious—easily accommodating our big group with over ten large suitcases! Located near Fushimi Inari Shrine and Tofukuji Temple, it was very peaceful at night. We had brought thick bedding, worried that Kyoto might be cold, but the rooms were extremely comfortable. When we asked for more bowls, chopsticks, and a...

"The house was great and in perfect condition.
Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful.
Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it.

"Another good stay. Good basic and clean accommodation, being winter I did find it rather cold this time and could have done with another or thicker duvet but the accommodation itself lacks nothing, well positioned in a nice suburban area of Kyoto close to transport, and it's own shrines and onsens."

"A very nice and cute hotel that perfectly combines modern comfort with traditional Japanese design. The tatami room adds a unique and calming touch. Everything was spotless, making the stay extremely pleasant."

"Excellent hotel- stylish clean rooms with lovely shower. We paid more for the executive room with lounge access. This provided delicious food cocktails, beer wine etc for avo& evening"
"Everything was done and prepared exceptionally well. Although the room we stayed in wasn’t large, the shower, amenities, staff and layout was perfect. Highly recommend!"
"We had a wonderful stay! The place was very clean and well-maintained. It’s also within walking distance to Universal Studios, which made everything so convenient.
The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. I especially appreciated how helpful they were when I needed a last-minute cab ride to the airport — they arranged it quickly and made the process stress-free.
I will definitely come back and book here again. Highly recommended!"
"My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Nohga Kiyomizu. From the location to the amenities such as a fresh bakery ad rooftop bar with a clear view of Kiyomizu Dera, we couldn't have asked for more!"
