"Great garden at the back. Very clean and nicely furnished. Very responsive to requests. Close to Waterloo Place where the tourist buses start from.
Quite a steep climb from Leith St. The walk up viaWaterloo Place is more gentle.
Highly recommended."

"Possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I didn’t receive the check in instructions, so on arriving had to spend around an hour trying to figure things out. There are no staff at the property and the phone number on their website is incorrect. Room had no bin, no mirror or tea & coffee facilities. This is a basic. No outdoor lighting and slippery broken decking steps is a health and safety hazard. Another guest kept leaving the main door open, and one night I took my dog out in the night to...

"Staying at the MOXI hotel was not a good experience. Starting from when we were first checking into our room, the temperature was at 25Degrees C. We immediately opened the windows and lowered the temperature to 18. We left to return our rental car and all showered and got ready for bed. It had been about 4 hours since arriving and the temperature only dropped to 24. 1 degree in 4 hours. Also while getting into our couch pullout bed we noticed it there was a huge drop in the middle of the bed. Other than the discomfort, we looked under the bed and found that all the rods were broken in the frame. We went downstairs to the staff, asking them for help, they never apologized for the conditions of there room nor understood why we didn’t want to separate our group to go to other room. Eventually they gave us a new room. This is when we realized the AC in the other room was definitely broken. In the morning, I had paid for the continental breakfast. My friend went down first and we later joined her to get breakfast. We checked in with a staff member at the front for breakfast and grabbed it. A couple minutes later, another staff member came up to us saying we couldn’t all have breakfast? I told her we checked in with other staff member. But she further questioned us and asked about our room number. When I told her our room number she said she didn’t have it on the breakfast list. However, my friend had presently checked in with her before us? And there was never an issue? Very disap"
"An ideal location for a first time visit to Edinburgh with all the sites within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked for assistance. However, don’t be fooled by castle view rooms as we booked a superior castle view and found ourselves on first floor looking upto the castle but through very dirty windows and stained net curtains made more awkward when all the world outside could see into our room being so low down therefore not making the open curtain looking at castle view very enjoyable whilst being watched by all in the pubs opposite. This would be better if you request the top floor!
As for cleanliness of the room this is where it really let itself down as we paid a lot of money for one night you expect a spotless experience however the carpet was filthy and lose fitted coming away from the floor. The cushions were stained and worn, walls covered in various scuff marks and stains. The bathroom shower tiles were so badly stained and cracked with missing grout we didn’t use the shower. It was what we would expect in a travel lodge for £50 a night not a £250+ per night superior room. Room was very worn and outdated compared to photos they list online. Let down by the room otherwise I am sure a nice hotel."
"Fantastic location. The staff at the front desk were super helpful and knowledgeable with our questions. The rooms were a good size. The showers were a little odd, but overall I would stay here again."
"Clean room, comfortable bed. The hallway was due for a paint job. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Reached rental car return at airport in under 15 minutes."
"I enjoyed my stay here. The room and bathroom were very clean and the amenities were excellent including tissues and face washers. There was no noise heard from other guests so sound proofing is excellent Breakfast was a good range of foodstuffs. The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. The hotel was a great location for accessing transport on buses to the airport, trains from Waverley Station, and the main bus station for Rabbies tours. Plus Hop on Hop off buses stopped across the street. This is a very popular hotel for large groups so the foyer can get congested sometimes but the hotel caters well for groups and the restaurant area has sections, so one can easily find a quiet spot to eat. I would stay here again."
"Great location, very helpful staff. Free, plentiful minibar and complementary champagne on arrival are nice touches! I’d definitely stay here again and would consider this hotel group for other stays in Europe."
