"We stayed here for a couple nights to experience all Koh Tao had to offer. The steep inclines throughout the hotel's walkways were tough for my gf to navigate and the hotel is far away from the walking streets. However, the shuttle services, consieege and private pools more than made up for it. Our room was huge as well."

"The Montra was perfect for what we needed (4 couples and a baby). We really liked our room - it was well equipped, (came with a great travel cot and fridge for bottles) really spacious, toddler friendly (nothing down low for them to break or wires for them to pull), air conditioned, got nicely dark to sleep in and the bed was unforgettably comfortable and huge! They also gave us a room close to the restaurant which was super handy. The restaurant had great sea views and does a great breakfast....

"Amazing stay at this villa. The staff is vers very nice and helpful with an easy communication done with WhatsApp. The villa is just awesome, very clean and well decorated. The view is stunning. Even more beautiful than on the pictures! We will come back, for sure."

"A lot of stairs. Breakfast was ok but way overpriced and nothing special. Restaurant was ok, menu rather small, with less variety. Friendliness of the staff at reception was acceptable. However the spa was closed during our stay, which is odd as „spa“ is within the hotel name. There is no beach directly accessible from the hotel. "Property was okay for the price, it definitely needs a bit of an upgrade though. The beach in front of the property is really nice and is quiet, away from the super busy Sairee beach area but convenient for the pier. We hired a scooter from the hotel and this was in great condition and was very straightforward. Our air conditioning stopped working one night which made for a hot night, but this was fixed the following day. "

"We really enjoyed the Montalay. The staff was great, the beach is beautiful, and our room was spacious and had hot water and a refrigerator. The hotel would benefit from a water refill station instead of bottled water. We loved how the resort is built into the landscape, with boulders and drainage incorporated into the design. The included breakfast was great. The hillside rooms are a bit of a climb, but the view is amazing."
