Bed was comfy, room seemed abit dated for a new hotel. Hinges of the shower were creaking and lots of dirt under the sink. Hotel had terrible access road as we were driving, and parking was not available and had to park at govt issued parking on the road side. A car next to us had its window smashed in one morning, and I guess that shows the lack of safety without own compound.

The hotel is located in a busy area with lots of dining options. It's steps away from the ferry port which takes you to the surrounding islands. I found the staff less helpful compared to other SE Asian countries, things like not helping with booking tours. Little things like not greeting you when you walk by the front desk, but that really was not an issue, just a noticeable difference from other places. Overall, the hotel is good and i would recommend a stay here.

1. Requested adjoining room was totally ignored (not communicate to from agent to premises). Instead two rooms next to each other was provided with twin beds (not as selected choice earlier) 2. Shower hose was broken for both rooms upon check in. 3. Toilet bowl blocked on 1st day check in. 4. The floor was not vacuum cleanly during house keeping, still found food debris on the floor from previous guest. 5. Cloth hangers are not in good condition. 6. Room is small and no privacy for toilet and bathroom.

Was our first time to Kota Kinabalu and the room we were given was dissappointing as I specifically picked this location to have a sea view, might have been my fault for not reading the rooms correctly but the hotel didnt seem busy so we could have been moved but we were not. The foyer was welcoming but once up onto the floors the presentation here is in need of a refurbishment. Rooms not very sound proof and door do not soft close so the comings and goings of others was very loud at all hours. Pool area was the best view and staff their were extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay again but would make sure to get a better room.

The family room was awesome, the view to the harbor is nice, but: 1.The Wi-fi did not work, 2.they have no hand towels!?! 3.toilet paper finished on first use 4.the internal phone was broken 5.the breakfast was simple and paid apart.

Other reviews are accurate...very run down. Is not 4 star. Windows didnt open and were filthy but as i looked out over a void into eindows about 3m away, jstvas well! First room and corridor stank of cigarette smoke in a non smoking hotel. Eventually got a new room but staff not at all concerned and didnt believe me as 'no smoking in hotel'! Italian wasnt open. Breakfast not great especially for veggies/vegans. Good they have water filtervtaps and toiletry regills...not so mych the drntal kurs though. Worst thing...no soundproofing. Can hear everything in next room and was woken up by the sound of coughing. Pool was pleasant but rooftop restaurant dreadful.

Hotel is marked 4 star, have stayed Mercure 4 star hotels before but this one was not that great, facilities are the same, Front office etiquette when we checked in was not polite enough perhaps through lack of training and ignorance Room curtains were so dirty looked like some left hand marks with smudges all over them, Buffet - plates were not clean, so dirty saw the food particles from previous use.almost every plate checked so bad Food options and quality so bad, not 4 star like a overnight motel type of food,

I'm disappointed that your service and facilities are below par. Firstly your curtain is not well maintained and upkeep is bad with torn on it ( please refer to photo). Secondly your hotel is not providing the basic in room coffee and tea bag, While I request from the front desk he replies the coffee is "By request only" Wow I thought it must be a luxury or hi quality of coffee. It makes me speechless when the housekeeper sends me the unknown brand instant coffee and I am doubtful about consuming it. Thirdly while I planning walk to nearby convenience store it was raining dog and cat I'm request umbrella from the concierge, he told me that hotel not providing umbrella, it make me feel the unpleasure to staying your hotel for the next visit. However I hope you can improve on what I've commented.

The hotel is sitting right at the heart of the city and the surroundings are quite buzzing. In terms of location we are good. The check-in experience was good and smooth. Nevertheless, the breaker is the hotel cleanliness. To say the least, it was filthy. I can understand that in post-covid situation with the Sabah borders just opening to domestic travellers all businesses have been disrupted and that hospitality has been hit the harder. Though, I can't conceive that a hotel operating under the Accor brand can tolerate such a level of filthiness. Carpets were not vacuumed anywhere in the hotel, surfaces in the room were not wiped, the sofa turned from grey to black. I usually don't report complaints on this platform but that time it was really over board. Some representative at Accor might want to have a look at this hotel....
