Weekend escape in Kai Tak

We spent a weekend to explore kai tak area which is walkable from the hotel. The reception staff were friendly, responsive & attentive to guests' needs. Hotel is serious about sustainable & green.

The Hotel is super convenient if you are attending events at Kia Tak Stadium, you literally walk from the hotel into the stadium, it was brilliant in that respect when we watched the Hong Kong sevens recently. However if I was in Hong Kong for any other reason I probably wouldn't bother, it's overpriced for a tiny room, it's a bit out of the way, the food is expensive and mediocre. I didn't come to Hong Kong for average European style food which is twice as good and half the price at home, they should embrace local style food.

Upon check in, tried to make me pay again even though I paid online already. 3 rd day shower clogged and over flooded into hotel. They did clean it up but no compensation for a 5 star hotel. Asked late check out, none. Didn’t even offer to move us to a different room. Had to pay for some items what should be free. If you were not out of room by 10am, there will be no housekeeping.

I wouldn't recommend for families, there was no kitchen dining area when you ordered food to be delivered. There was no game room. There was no kitchen that offered coffee and tea. No laundry facility.

Das Dorsett Kai Tak Hotel bietet dem Gast eine schöne,moderne und ruhige Lage nahe am Wasser der Kowloon Bay und mit Aussicht auf dem neu erbauten und futuristischen Kai Tak Stadion,was besonders bei Dunkelheit schön aussieht. Das Hotel bietet ein kostenlosen Shuttlebus für Hotelgäste an.Der Bus pendelt alle 30 min. von der Airsidemall wo auch die U-Bahn Station Kai Tak liegt zum Dorsett Hotel.Das Zimmer mit Doppelbett machte einen guten und sauberen Eindruck.Das Badezimmer mit Standdusche war modern eingerichtet und auch sauber.Der Dachpool bietet dem Gast eine coole Aussicht auf die Stadt und die Kai Tak Sportarena auch hier besonders bei Dunkelheit sehr cool.Was negativ aufgefallen ist das der Pool schon um 19 Uhr zu macht,was ich persönlich als zu früh empfand,der Frühstücksraum zu klein geschnitten ist, so das man teils 10-15 min Schlange stehen musste weil nicht genügend Plätze vorhanden sind und das man häufig aus den Schlaaf gerissen wird weil die Reinigungskräfte doch sehr laut am Arbeiten waren.

5-star experience that will definitely book again

The overall experience is great! The cleanliness of the hotel room is guaranteed as Dorsett Kai Tak was opened in Aug 2024. I like the infinity pool the most as you can enjoy the sunset view. The only disadvantage is that the hotel should improve the quality of the breakfast.
