I do understand that Hong Kong had recently started welcoming overseas guests and recovering from Pandemic; some services & amenities may not be available. However, I wasn't being told that will be NO house keeping service during my entire stay. I didn't know about it until I overheard from a couple while I was in the same elevator with them.
The room was extremely dirty. It was dust all over the place in the bathroom (storage space below the sink, the toilet, towel rack). Carpet was in dark-brown so I couldn't tell if it's been vaccumed or not. I also spotted stain on bed sheets. Luckily I was assigned to a 2-single bed room and I was travelling alone.
I would say this hotel had been aged quite a bit. I stayed there 4 years ago when it was under "Best Western" management. Everything (decor, room, public area) was actually the same as before and I don't think any upgrade or maintainence had beed done ever since.
One thing I have to admit, prices & its location were great and were the two main factors to make me stay there again. With the recent experience, however, I probably will have to think twice next time unless there's improvement
