"We planned a weekend trip to Puerto Galera, leaving Manila on Thursday afternoon and stop in Batangas City. Alpa Hotel offered a good stay before taking the boat the next day morning to Puerto Galera. There is a restaurant, although the food was nothing special. I do recommend to try a Filipino cuisine dish. The hotel provides a shuttle to the pier."

A wonderful surprise was that they sent a car to pick us up at the port and to drop us off for free. "Ocean was not visible from room. Only window had bars over it and was one foot away from a wall.
No TV. No amenities at all. Bed was rock solid. Pillows were rock solid. Room was tiny. No bidet in the bathroom.
The room was very, very basic. Prison cell like.
Pretty bad value compared to a number of other hotels in Sabang that are in the same price range. "
