"It is the staff and surroundings that make this hotel. The reception team could not do enough for us. The hotel has an unusual Hawaiian vibe. Be aware that the hotel is dated cosmetically but nothing that dented our enjoyment. The breakfasts were amazing and the best we had during the whole trip."

"We saw Mount Fuji early in the morning and it was breathtaking! Breakfast overlooking the forest behind the property was delicious and so beautiful. The onsen in our room was wonderful! "The view from the hotel is magnificent. The Japanese style rooms are spacious and quiet. I speak survival level Japanese, but there were a lot of communication problems so be ready to have your translator handy. Itโ€™s best to have a car to get around the shuttle service was hard to schedule and when returning from the station, they leave exactly at the hour they wonโ€™t wait one minute for you during the crowded summer months you cannot get dinner served in your room so you have to eat and the buffet which had good quality for food, but it was still an expensive buffet"

"The room was fantastic. We loved it. The beds were so comfortable and the view was so beautiful. We used the onsen and it was magical because we had a full moon. The bath products they have for the guests and the onsen user are the best smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash i have ever used in my 51 years. I donโ€™t know if they sell it in town but if you are around look for them there because I think itโ€™s unique to the area. The front desk was so friendly, even though we didnโ€™t know Japanese. I recommend waking up early for the sunrise. We hope to return soon."
