The Sandi Phala is a small intimate resort which is a quiet secluded oasis in a busy area, hence you are close to everything but can escape into the peace and tranquility that is the Sandi Phala.

We ended up at the Sandy Phala because of needing to arrive to Bali a day earlier because of a flight cancellation. The only thing we did not like about the place was the fact that we couldn’t stay for more than one night. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was very attentive. We definitely plan on revisiting and spending more time next time.

Our stay at The Sandi Phala was amazing, a small hotel, large rooms, and on the beach, the only downside was having to pay $25 Australian an hour for a late check out, we were leaving at 4 and their checkout time is 12. The staff were also fabulous.

Green Balinese oasis
The hotel has beautiful grounds, it is a small lush oasis. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, the Balinese style gives it an authentic touch. It is only about 10min to the airport, which makes it a good destination to stay prior to early morning flights.

A little gem.
Quiet, great location, friendly and helpful staff, close to shops and downtown kuta and restaurants, small hotel with small number of rooms, breakfast over looking the beach each morning with a choice from 4 menus. Afternoon tea and cake if u choose, chocolates as part of your turn down service. Rooms cleaned each morning while you are enjoying breakfast. All the little things make u feel special and not just another hotel guest in a large hotel.

A wonderful place to stay for many reasons!
I give the Sandi Phala full stars! The room was as big as a house, in beautiful Balinese style with high thatched roof and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. The airport pickup was right on time, and the resort is only a 10-minute drive away. Breakfast each morning was provided, with a nice choice of well-prepared selections. The latte I had each morning was delicious, as was the French toast with strawberries. Mmm! The resort is small and cozy, with its own nice beach and swimming pool. It was a wonderful vacation getaway, and I recommend you try it! You won't be disappointed!

Lovely stay in Kuta! Highly recommended!
Beautiful and tranquil beach resort with Balinese style decor, located at the end of the back street, away from the noises of the main street. Not as many rooms and guests compared to some other bigger resort in Bali so you get full attention. Perfect for couples looking a place to chill and relax. We also enjoyed the restaurant, had both breakfast and dinner here, good food and vibe! Another plus is they offer free shuttle to/from the airport!

My partner and I stayed here for 10 days in the private pool suite. We found it to be a beautiful quiet place and didn't experience any major issues during our stay. It is tucked away down a lane-way from the main street, or accessible by walking along the beach. PROS Super quiet, very relaxed atmosphere, room is beautiful, walking distance to shops, banks and restaurants, short taxi ride (or long walk) into main beach, room is serviced twice a day, friendly staff NEUTRAL Restaurant food is delicious but very small portions and the menu is a bit outdated. Limited options for vegetarian or any other diet restrictions. Staff had trouble understanding requests to make changes to menu items. Private beach is clean and great to look at. There are dining tables on it but you can only eat there during dinner and have to reserve in advance. Private pool was also nice to look at, but the pool we had was completely covered by shade all day and was too cold to really swim in. We mostly swam in the main pool, which was beautiful and clean and usually empty.

The property is set in a lovely quiet section of beach and within walking distance of many amenities. We loved the huge bath and the room was comfortable. The restaurant was good for the free breakfast but seemed expensive for dinner and we decided not to eat there. We were also a bit disappointed that we couldn’t get a seat on the private beach in the day or evening because there were only four “tents”. Good stay overall, would stay again.

Amazing place! My bathroom was big enough to move into--beautiful inground, stone tub. Lovely private plunge pool! The big pool was gorgeous and quiet. Best part was the wonderful staff--amazingly helpful. Delicious breakfast. If you have to go to Kuta--this place rocks!

We booked the Sandi Phala for a romantic extended weekend getaway (a second honeymoon ;) )and it did not disappoint! Our room was spacious, peaceful beautifully clean and superbly comfortable. The private plunge pool was utterly decadent and we enjoyed the complimentary soft drinks and waters in the minibar - most appreciated! The bathroom was lovely, with a separate double basin area, and the shower, massive stone bath and toilet private and Bali-chiq! Breakfast each day was included in our stay and the menu had plenty of choice without being over the top. The staff were very lovely and unobtrusive whilst still being very attentive and accommodating. Being right on the beach meant we weren't too far from anywhere and it was a comfortable walk to all the main Kuta based attractions. We felt very spoilt and definitely hope to come back and stay again. We'll be recommending the Sandi Phala to all our friends!

Beautiful resort with a great main pool which was just the perfect temperature to swim in. Staff were lovely and most helpful. Our suite was more like a little house of its own! Excellent location, just minutes' walk along the beach from all the main Kuta attractions & eateries. Very quiet at night. We would stay here again.

Nice quiet beach side hotel the rooms are showing there age and need a little work but it adds to the rustic Bali charm of the place All the staff were very friendly and the a la carte breakfast idea is good for a couple of days but then your options run out but it is obviously hard to offer buffet breakfast with only 12 rooms Overall a good location with a mall and restaurants only a 5 minute walk away and you have fantastic sunsets from the bar area each evening

Beautiful villas and well manicured grounds. Really friendly staff that are always smiling and happy to help. We loved that it’s a small resort (only 11 rooms?) that gives a private feel and stretch of beach, really easy to get to from the airport, and close to all the shops and activities in Kuta. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent hotel. Staff are very attentive and will do everything they can for you, including booking your tours. The hotel has only 11 rooms so is always very quiet and peaceful, you can often feel like you have the whole place to yourself! Well situated for the beach and Kuta town, you can go walks to many places, including Waterbom Bali which is only a 10 minute walk away. Their airport shuttle service was also very convenient, saving us worrying about taxis. The food was first rate and the selection of cocktails was also excellent. The only shortcoming was the watersports company they recommended ("North Coast"), as they were terrible, but this is no reflection on the quality of the hotel itself. Would absolutely recommend and, if we're back in Bali in future, we'd look to stay here again.

This place was amazing, our own private oasis, staff excellent, facilities excellent, food to die for . Can highly recommend for a relaxing time , this is next door to major resorts and close to shopping and every you would need . Have found my special place oh and our own private plunge pool

We travel extensively,and this was hotel no 10 in 5 week holiday...our arrival was about 8.30 pm,the reception area was quite dark and unattended..when the receptionist arrived it wasnt very welcoming...we were offered an orange cordial as a welcome drink..quite classy!and told breakfast was included and we could choose from 4 options...?? Included? I believe it is paid for in the price ..and i prefer to choose my own breakfast.. Our ( junior studio) ? Was a room with a comfortable bed,aged linen,no chair and very little lighting..To access the power point a staff member came with a torch and sat on the floor,it is under a low shelf..the hand basin in our room was rusty ,stained ( with age) and not pretty...all mamagement issues.. The staff were pleasant and helpful,the pool area lovely and position excellent... We paid more than we did here than other hotels that i would call 5 star....i would rate Sandi Pharla 3 star..in its present condition..sorry i hate to be so negative ..But!!

This property is very nice with a restaurant on the beach, but the maintainance lets it down. Stained curtains and lounge seat covers. Also the bathroom fittings have not stood the test of time, really should be replaced. It is very convenient to the airport. Would recommend this hotel but with reservations.

Cozy hotel near the beach
The hotel is located down a road off a busy street, so it comes as a surprise when you see what's behind the gate. The staff are welcoming and the open air lobby very simple. The room where my friend and I stayed was very large, came with a gorgeous tub, shower and also spacious vanity room. A great sized room for 2 friends to share! The room also had a private small pool off the patio area that felt very zen. The shared facilities also have a zen vibe, a large pool, bar and restaurant that faced the beach. Sadly while we stayed in January the beach had lots of trash that had washed ashore, we were told that this season is when this side of the island has that problem so plan accordingly if you plan a trip for the beach. The restaurant on site was more expensive than we had experienced at other places in Bali and average in quality. Same with the breakfast we shared at room service but hard to complain when the staff are so wonderful!

An attractive hotel for resting. We enjoyed our stay there. As a small hotel, however, choices are rather limited. I took most meals there - italian, which are well prepared. Comfort could be added by improving furnishing - bedding and some 'old' items.

Secluded location south of the busy Kuta beaches. Beautiful view of the ocean from the bar area. Stayed in a room with the cool plunge pool. It was a nice relief from the heat and humidity. Turn down service with chocolates were nice. Breakfast options were fine but service was extremely slow.

Wonderful Sandi Phala.
On the last day of our 13 night stay at The Sandi Phala and it has been a fantastic experience. If you like concrete block chain hotels this is not for you. But if you want to experience Balinese hospitality at it's best within a small traditional style boutique hotel set in gorgeous tropical gardens then look no further. From airport pick-up to check in and every day of our holiday we could find no fault with this lovely establishment. Every member of staff,without exception went out of their way to make our stay special. We were upgraded to a Garden Suite in recognition of the fact we were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary and on the day of our anniversary we returned to our room to find a lovely cake compliments of the management. Every morning, when we returned to our room after breakfast, we would find that housekeeping had been and our room was made up. In the evening when we returned to our room we would find our bed turned down an a tray of confectionery placed on the bed. Breakfast is a delight and taken in the lovely Ma Joly restaurant with a wide choice of dishes including Eggs Benedict and freshly squeezed juices of all kinds. I would like to make special mention of Ari who was very attentive without being intrusive but he was by no means unique in this respect. Ever member of staff greeted the guests at all times with a ready smile and a warm greeting. I could go on at length with further positive aspects of this hotel but will just say...Wondeful Sandi

The room is really terrible. Bed sheet, quilt cover, pillow cases and towels are smelly and dirty. You can even see unwashed blood. Staff is nice. But all staff at Bali are nice from my experience in other hotels in Bali. It has private beach area, however almost all hotel around that area got private beach.

Great resort feel, nice location and private beach
Stay a total of 4 nights and loved every moment of it. The hotel has it's own private beach which is just a stone throw away from the restaurant. Given that there are not many rooms, it feels like you have the whole place to yourself mostly. And to my pleasant surprise, the hotel has a nice deep pool which is very well landscaped. Staff is very friendly and will try their best to accommodate all our requests. My package comes with complimentary breakfast which is a la cart (and that makes it feel so much more personalize compared to a buffet breakfast) and afternoon tea all of which could be delivered to your room, or to the pool or consumed at the restaurant. The complimentary mini bar and Occitane toiletries are definitely a plus too. Rooms are spacious and clean and the bathroom makes it feel like you are in a spa. Overall it was a great experience. Not to forget, ad midst all the tranquility, the resort is only 15mins walking distance to discovery mall.
