"Very nice, new and clean. Food was great with side selection of both meat fish and vegetable dishes. The foot spar was under maintenence but it was too hot to sit outside anyway. Nice place would definitely stay again as it's also located a few mins walk from sea and the newly revitalized shopping streets."

"Fantastic traditional feel onsen hotel, with both public and private onsen baths, comfortable western rooms, public spaces and amenities (robes, refreshments, late night complimentary ramen, etc. Near scenic river run , quaint shops and restaurants, shrines, temples and bamboo groves, all within walking distance. "Excellency Rooms on Top floors are incredible. So nice to stay in a traditional luxury Japanese room. Use of Onsen each day was a great experience and the bonus of a private Onsen was great. Would stay again. Very friendly staff and all in all a very relaxing stay."

"Incredible stay with excellent service. The breakfast was amazing - so well made and you can feel the love of the chef putting together. Rooms were comfortable and so cute! Loved the onsen (hot spring) tub on the balcony and spacious room with great amenities. It was a whole experience type of stay, above and beyond our expectations in beautiful Izu Kogen surrounded in nature. Family ran in the best way possible. Highly recommend!"
