The Town House Lodge
8/10 Good
"The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Property was landscaped nicely and the grounds were kept up well. We wanted to use the fire pit but the lighters had no lighter fluid and the refillable lighter fluid was out. :( We were bummed out about that. Everything was tidy, but they only gave us 2 towels. We would have loved to have had a towel to use as a bath mat so that we didn’t get the floor wet. Overall, it was a great value for what we got."

"What a surprise to find out that we were one of the first guests to stay at the Newly renovated St Moritz ! Parking was easy right in front of the hotel. We were greeted by the staff quickly and they had us set up in no time. The property is newly renovated…we were one of the first guests to arrive on their first official opening day…although we had no idea that was going to be the case. The team looked after us beautifully and the bell boys offered to carry our suitcases up to the 4th floor for us. Each level of this historical building had been preserved and we were in awe. Our room was bright l, modern, clean and exactly what we expected. FYI: there is a small elevator as well. They have a gorgeous sitting area on the main level that is cozy and inviting. Don’t miss out on a meal on the deck or in the restaurant, you’ll be happy you chose to eat there. Walking distance to the main streets for shops, restaurants and waterfront. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return again."
Grandview Lake Placid

"Property was beautiful with breathtaking views. Our room didn't get cleaned on the second day even after telling the staff we'd be out of the room remainder of the day. That was disappointing but nothing terrible. Also seemed that part of the hotel underwent renovations at some point so some rooms appeared to have nicer amenities. We enjoyed our stay the grounds and staff. Would recommend."
Maple Leaf Inn - Lake Placid

"Very clean. Bathroom update is nice. Great microwave, big room frig. Contactless entry. Not difficult. No directions for remotes, very confusing so we could not watch TV. Difficult to reach staff because prompt on recorded message keeps saying invalid entry. However when we finally got through, they came quickly to help solve the remote TV problem. Bed comfortable, flat foam pillows not great. Suggest they leave directions for TV. Also add black tea to drink offering."

"we went a little beyond our normal hotel stays and booked a queen suite; we were not disappointed. The room was huge, having a separate bedroom made it very comfortable. The large counter in the bathroom was very helpful. Staff was very friendly and helpful, check-in and out were easy. The grounds were clean and well maintained with a courtyard and fire pit out back. The lobby/bar/restaurant area was huge and very nice. It's about a mile on foot to downtown Lake Placid (uphill) so think hard before trying. We would strongly recommend this facility and will stay here again."
