"We stayed 18 days in Royal Plaza in Nov 25, this year sep-oct 26 we stayed 15 days. What a coincidence that we stay next to the room from last year. We even have the same maid (I called her sister Tin) she is a maid that is responsible to clean our room n for a couple of lazy days we even ask if she just clean the bathroom while the kids were sleeping(we probably got her in trouble for that). Why we keep coming back to Royal Plaza, why wouldn’t you, it’s next to a mall(Moko), catch the MTR to Hong Kong island, we even have a day trip to Shenzhen from Mong Kok East station (below the hotel). Eating is closed by. My kids loved the anime toys, we got a few of them in sino and ins point(walking distance) and in sham Shui po. There is an outdoor swimming pool separated sauna(M/F) and a gym. Walking distance to yum cha like ‘One Dim Sim’,‘let’s YumCha’ and ‘tin ho wan’ if u don’t mind a little walk."

"The free shuttle from T2 in Hong Kong was seamless. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff. Check in was quick. My room was extremely clean and had everything I required, except an electric outlet adapter. No fear! I called to the desk and one was delivered to my room quickly. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Plenty of options for everyone. The free return shuttle was also very convenient. This is an amazing property and I highly recommend it."

About Lantau Island
Hong Kong’s largest island, this former fishing spot has recently been completely built up thanks to the Tung Chung new town, the Hong Kong International Airport, and Hong Kong Disneyland. It is also connected to Hong Kong Island by bridge, allowing buses, taxis, and trains to make the journey across the bay. Lantau Island is home to beaches, mountainous terrain, and a number of attractions. This makes it popular among tourists from all over the world.

Hong Kong Disneyland is one of the main attractions on Lantau Island. It is on the northeast part of the island and features seven themed areas, all day entertainment, and two hotels. You can stay at either the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel.
For the cultural side of Lantau Island, you should visit the 34-metre high Tian Tan Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, and the Tai O fishing village. The 11th century Shun Hei era Tung Chung Fort is also worth having a look at. The cable-car Ngong Ping 360 will take you to Ngong Ping Village, a cultural and entertainment village designed specifically for tourism.
If you are a lover of the outdoors, go hiking along the 70 kilometre Lantau Trail that encircles the island or along one of the trails in Discovery Bay. You can also take a boat ride off the island if you want to spot Chinese White Dolphins or go swimming at Silvermine Beach.
Restaurants and BarsThere is a good selection of food options and prices on Lantau Island. Discovery Bay is one of the best places to dine on international cuisine, while the restaurant overlooking the cable car is the best place to take in spectacular views and watch the sunset. There are also plenty of places to eat in Hong Kong Disneyland and its onsite hotels. If you are looking for nightlife, there are a few good bars in Discovery Bay, including the lively sports bar at the Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong.
ShoppingLantau is not considered a popular place to shop, but there are more than enough places to keep anyone happy including those in Hong Kong Disneyland and the outdoor shopping centre DB Plaza.
