Excellent option for a good night sleep

Great modern hotel in Lisbon, with friendly staff and excellent service. Rooms are comfortable, with firm beds. We couldn't hear any noise from the street, which was great after a long day of business. The only caveat, there are not a lot of restaurant options nearby.

We had an issue with the first room we recieved and they changed it right away. The roof top is nice and cozy with views from both sides of the property. The rooms and beds a very comfortable. Rooms are a little tight and small but still comfortable. Front desk staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Easily accessible by Uber or walking if you don’t mind the hills.

This property is showing its age, worn floors, bathroom door bottoms warped, black mold in corners of shower unit and bathroom floors, black marks on room and hallway walls. On the positive side the area is within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and parks. The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet, roof top bar and restaurant, and excellent, caring staff. The check-in process can be trying. Many tour groups use this hotel for their overnight stays making the checking in process difficult. Have to show/scan your passport to verify your room reservation which adds to the delay. With the notice given by the tour groups of the number of rooms needed it should not take 3 hours to get your room key. After flying for 6 to 8 hours or longer, one does not want to wait in the lobby for 3 or more hours. We saw many travelers sleeping in chairs in the lounge areas while waiting for their rooms.

The hotel is located in an out-of-the way area of the city without convenient access to public transport, restaurants, or shopping. In general, it was a residential area. Otherwise, the hotel services were average, though acceptable. Clean rooms, decent amenities, but no free breakfast provided (an additional cost).

Best receptionist and excellent customer service

I think the receptionist made perfect impression of hotel upon and during my stay here. There were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel however does need to go under lot of repairs as things weren't as they seem. Location was uphill from Metro,though bus connections are available. There are local shops and bakery within 5 munutes walking distance which is a great plus. The breakfast menu was good where as half boarding was disappointing but that maybe due to the fact I overslept during dinner.

LISBOA - DECENT

Great stay (5 days 4 nights)for the family of 2 adults and 2 children for 2 double bedrooms. Approx. 10 mins walk away from Eduardo VII Park with big LISBOA sign with lots of tourist stop by and grab pictures. Just south of the park (add another 5mins walk) is the Marques De Pombal Square if you decide to take the Hop on and Hop off buses to get to the tourist spots around Lisbon or public transport. Hotel close by hypermarket/grocery Pingo Doce 6-10mins approx walk. Both rooms were clean and replenished/tidied when requested. Breakfast and restaurant staff were great, HOWEVER staying 5 days seems appalling like the hot protein meals were the same like sauage and scrambled eggs which can be a turn off for others, strongly suggest get them rotated every other day. Fruits, pastries and hot vegetable were alternated. Hot cafes were soothingly nice. Overall decent stay, thank you SMY.

Everything is very nice, the staff, the food. The hotel is clean and everything works well….except the reception manager they hired recently, because we stay in this hotel already 5 or 6 times. Oh ….. she is rude and not nice at all. It seams that she is boss of reception, but should not be really working with people at all. Just to identify her, she is middle age lady sitting at the back of reception, has very dark dyed hair and bright red lipstick. Now all reception staff and restaurant staff are nice and kind.

Pros: The room was spacious, and the layout was great. Robes and slippers were provided en-suite. The hotel is located within walking distance from the metro station and bus stops. The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient. Cons: Outside noise is extremely loud. Garbage trucks, airplanes, people. You can hear everything as if they are in your room. It's not fun to be in the same room as an airplane... The bathroom was fairly cramped, but the worst part was the musty smell and the black mould growing everywhere... Awful. There were some dusty mold spores along the ceiling too. The carpet in the rooms was very dirty and stained in all colours (brown, red, and black). I do not wish to know what those stains are.
