Great 5 star hotel in the very busy and popular Bairro Alto. Our junior suite was quiet, but dark and at the back of the hotel with absolutely zero view. That was disappointing for $750 per night.

My sister and I stayed here for her 50th birthday celebration trip. The historic beauty of this hotel is still evident while having all the modern updates as well. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we were both shocked we couldn’t hear a peep of noise from outside! Wonderful location as well!

Great stay!

Loved this hotel! It is super luxurious and spacious, the staff were great. Front desk staff very helpful and the barman had some excellent recommendations for local drinks we had not tried before. Location is very central too. Will definitely come back again.
