The room was very hot, muggy, smelled of mold/mildew. There was no air flow or ventilation. It was absolutely tiny. The bathroom door would only open about 1/4 of the way as the bed is right there. Not a good stay at all.

2 night stay. Had an event to attend in city. Great room - yes not windows (better as v little noise!) room does what its says, clean tidy and everything needed for a short stay.

Handy spot to stay in. Smallish windowless room but was clean, had everything we needed, good value for money and in a good location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A good choice.

Lovely staff and welcome at reception. Room very comfortable and well appointed, including an excellent shower. Only drawback is that the basement rooms don't have windows, but for a stay of one or two nights, doubt you could find better for the price. Walkable from station and to the shops, so convenient for everything.

It was perfect for what we needed. It is next to a pub that was packed in garden when we stayed so that was loud but didn't bother us. There was no dishcloth or tea towel so was tricky to wash up. Great location was about 10 minutes from station, lots of food places and pubs nearby.

Great service, the check in went well, the lady serving was great fun and even walked us to the building! Loads of space, freshly decorated, clean, loads of great features One small frustration (but I’m being picky) is the fire doors are super heavy and close every time you leave a room, so your forever opening doors that do squeak (especially in the night it’s a bit annoying!) but would not put me off staying again

Excellent Staff

We stayed as a large group for a Stag Weekend, we found the rooms perfectly adequate for our requirements. My room was a double, it was clean and comfortable and had tea/coffee making facilities. The only concern I had was that the shower door contacted the shower head when the door was opened which might have been a problem if I had been "heavy handed". The major plus of the whole establishment was the staff, they could not have been any friendlier or more helpful, top class.

Horrible experience

We spent one night here. It was originally a 2-nights stay that we ended early. Got a visitor in our room at 4 o'clock in the night when we were at sleep. Horrible experience!!!

That’s the only word I can use, OK. It was clean overall but dilapidated in places. The no windows is a plus for us as we like it dark! There was a lot of noise from upstairs (I think we were possibly under the pub) loud music and then what sounded like rearranging furniture both at 2am and again at 9am. We were in town for Taylor Swift so I understand everything was inflated and we just booked whatever was available, but the price definitely feels like a rip off now we’ve stayed. Overall, just OK.

Never again!!

Absolutely awful. Booked a basement single room for 2 nights. When I discovered the tv wasn’t working it was too late to speak to anyone on reception so didn’t have a functioning TV. The ventilation system is unbelievably loud to the point I never slept. Managers replied saying the tv was working when it blatantly wasn’t. Went the next morning to reception and still nobody there so I checked out after 1 night.

Was within walking distance of the railway station and all the shops. Brilliant room clean and quite big. Staff very helpful and had two pubs really close by. Would totally recommend

Walking distance from Lime Street Station, the location is great. In the middle of a student area, surrounded by bars and takeaways. The noise from the nightclub upstairs could be off putting for early sleepers. Rooms are in the basement and are windowless. Great for a total blackout sleep. Kettle and coffee are provided.
