Grounds are well kept. Food is OK. Rooms are old, damp, mildewed . Towels and linen mildewed. Staff were slow to respond to needs and unfriendly. Jacuzzi was broken. Lobby bathroom was filthy. Spa - not air conditioned, no cold water, reused disposable slippers, changing room - filthy.

Great location, wonderful staff, quiet and beautiful property, excellent food options. The only small but important wrinkle is the internet access. Mobile access in Eswatini is terrible compared to the rest of Africa, including poorer countries such as Rwanda. That’s for Government to sort out, urgently. Meanwhile RSS Hotel Management should provide a strong WIFI signal include in the room rate. This is global standard. Overall a great place to stay and we will be back.

Swazi Holiday.
My second visit. This visit was just as good as I remember. The hotel is first class, championship golf nearby, and not too expensive, Planters restaurant excellent, as was the breakfast. The hotel staff are welcoming, courteous, friendly and efficient. Try the health spa, really nice. You can gamble here if you wish, or as we did, watch and listen to the live music. A very nice experience.

Too much was wrong
Could not recommend for business. The free wifi is miserly so you have to buy more - it is not expensive, but the inconvenience and bad vibe surely cannot be worth the charge for Royal Swazi. Plus, there were several times when the internet was 'out' anyway. Room was very large but dated. I had a big balcony but could not use it because it was close to some noisy hotel plant - kitchen air conditioning or something. There was nowhere suitable to meet for business. Lounge area too dimly lit, and often noisy - only suitable tables to work at were outside, where there were mosquitoes, or it was raining, or where, post rain, a gust of wind would deposit an umbrella-load of water on you. The gym was hard to find and a long way from my room, and you had to pay to use it. Little things were wrong - no globe in a lamp, an empty salt cellar (not even plugged at the base) with room service, an inedible meal. I was on crutches, yet they put me in an upstairs room and there is no lift. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, and service in general very nice but I would not go back and cannot recommend this hotel.

Food was excellent. Room was spacious and neat. Wi-fi was a disappointment because in most of the time it wasn't working and besides 300Mb is too little. Shower also can be improved as showering in the bath is not comfortable.

Over all the stay was nice. It stuck me that the WIFI was not free! only 300 MB ? Drain in shower was extremely slow, and water would fill up in shor time. I did not have time to make in issues out of it!

Returning after many years. Room very comfortable, (super view) Air conditioning made more noise than cool air but not a major problem. Room 275 did report it on check out. Beautiful manicured grounds. Superb breakfast; staff very friendly and helpful.

Relaxing place to put the feet up
Very friendly place and the Swazis don’t disappoint at this venue, always ready to support you with your travels, a nice place to stay and a safe place, plenty of food options and lots to do in house. I recommend it along with a resturant called the calabash just up the street from the hotel also a good dining experience

70's style
Hotel is clearly popular locally. It was like walking into a 70's hotel. Heavily carpeted, in brown. Brown fake wicker furniture. Bedrooms from an old Best Western from the 70;s. Hand made cupboard doors. Tired furniture in rooms and lounge Buffet restaurant was ok - but again like entering a carvery in the UK. Maybe popular locally and with African visitors but didn't do a lot for me

Nice hotel. Probably the best for tourists. But if you going for business you better stay somewhere else where they provide serious internet. This hotel says free wifi. When you checkin they give you only 300 MB per day. In reality you will only get no more than 50 or 60 MB per day as the IT people set the system to stop pretending that you consumed it all once you exceed 60 MB. Pure cheating.

The hotel is 50 years old and could do with updating. Also, despite advertising two restaurants, only one was open - possibly because of a low occupancy at the time. I was there for work but the room had no chair or desk and the power points were very inconveniently located. On the plus side, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely Hotel in a great setting
Very nice hotel, great customer service with good facilities. Very nice restaurant, pool bar and Casino. Only downside-limited free wifi (150MB daily) after which customer must pay for internet.

Nice but improvable
Ordered a luxury room with balkony. The room was far away from beeing luxury, old carpet, small bath ( only 1 sink ). the cabinets and small fridge were old,scratches and more. 3 cigarette butts on the balkony!! Unfriendly receiption but other service people nice

Balconies not cleaned and woodwork falling apart.
1. Hotel needs a major facelift/Maintenace particularly the rooms, (curtains, carpets, furnishing, lighting) 2. General professionalism needs major improvement in customer service. Supervisors very invisible. 3. Facility is beautiful and well located but generally looks neglected, hence the need for facelift and maintenance. Furnishings are understated in relation to the style of the property. 4. The new hotel under construction nearby will be a big threat I f these glaring observations are left unattended for long. 5. On a positive note, the breakfast is superb including the hospitality and customer service of the chefs and waiters. 6. Drought can't be an excuse for not having water as a basic necessity. Water backup infrastructure should be in place soonest.

Good business hotel in central position.
An easy access hotel with comfortable rooms and great wifi. I was in Swaziland for 3 days' business and this was a convenient location to get to all the business meetings.

Very nice hotel in great valley location
The hotel has been around for several decades, but is in great condition. Nice rooms and very nice public areas. Casino, restaurant and many shops in the public areas. Be aware that there may not be lifts/elevators in your area of the hotel, there were none in by area, so had to use 2 flights of stairs to get to my top floor room. Room was nice, clean, and had everything I needed. Would stay here again.

A "Grand" Hotel
Royal Swazi Spa is a quality hotel. Head and shoulders above others in Swaziland. Everything works and my stay was most comfortable. However the atmosphere is impersonal with a touch of arrogance in the staffs demeanor. I felt as if they felt they were doing me a favor letting me, an ordinary person, stay in their grand hotel.
