The room and the hotel are stunning. This was part of a longer trip for us, so we put down our US address and were told we needed both our passports to check in, or we would need to forfeit the booking. After this nearly disastrous start, we sorted it out by providing the UK address where we'd been staying. It would be great for this passport requirement to be communicated literally anywhere.
There's no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, and no minibar, so you have to pay for room service, which, of course, is not cheap. But if you were looking for cheap, you wouldn't be at the Ritz. It is emphatically not worth the money in any shape or form, but it's worth doing once!
