The Highlights: Service & Sleep The standout feature is the staff—three young men who are exceptionally kind, attentive, and helpful despite the building's limitations. * Sleep Quality: The mattresses are comfortable, and the provision of both standard and ergonomic pillows is a major plus. Note that the bed frames are quite squeaky. * Breakfast: A practical meal featuring made-to-order eggs and chocolate milk. The Shortcomings: Infrastructure & Comfort The building suffers from poor maintenance and lacks modern refinements. * Climate Control: There is no built-in heating. Rooms can be freezing, though an oil heater may be provided upon request. * Security: Door locks are flimsy and outdated, which may be a concern for solo travelers. * Connectivity: The Wi-Fi is unreliable, utilizing a frustrating guest portal that frequently disconnects. Signal strength is insufficient for backups or browsing. * Maintenance: The elevator is non-functional, and rooms have a noticeable damp smell due to the local humidity. "Very nice hotel. The staff were all really nice and ready to help. Clean rooms. Restaurant was really good especially our weiter Johann. Bar was well stocked with servers nice and knowledgeable. Would certainly go back."

"Breakfast was good and it’s convenient that it begins so early! Good location on the river. No 24/7 coffee or tea is a downside. Also, it’s misleading I think in the ad that the hot springs are inclusive or at the property - this isn’t the case."
