"Room (342) was lovely - Nice and spacious. Staff, in general were pleasant. Unfortunately one member of staff in particular didn't have the best of attitudes. Breakfast was nice enough. Although, it was served in a relatively small area so was very crowded during busier times. Highlight was definitely the steam room. Have to say the pool was nice, as was the sauna, it was just a weird shape which reduced the capacity. Amazing location - very central. Would stay again."

"The breakfast was nice and fresh. The room was a king size and spacious but the bin in toilet wasn’t emptied and the blinds mark and ceiling in shower room had mold speckles. Beds and lining was comfortable and clean. "

"The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too. However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "

"Stayed 2 nights. Really good hotel. Excellent facilities. Lovely breakfast. Nice rooms. The only negative comment is we had very noisy neighbours on our first night who had people in their room and played loud music from 12.30am until 2.30am which was not what you want for a weekend away. Otherwise would recommend. "

"It's was an experience we wanted, to stay in a castle. The Ruthin Castle has a ton of history. It's a bit run down but I guess that could be the charm. The bathroom was beautiful, the rooms (bedroom and living room) were large. Overall, the place seemed quiet and dark. There is not a lot to do in Ruthin. The staff was nice and the room was clean."
