The property itself needs to be better taken care of from the outside of the building to the Un manicured grass- The bathroom or shower tiles need to be cleaned or updated a lot better than it is- My room was clean. "We had the most lovely stay at Antico Borgo Etneo. Conveniently located 5 minutes from the train station, the property is gorgeous, our room was very clean and relatively cool considering we were in the middle of a heat wave. Great hospitality and a scrumptious breakfast (we’ll be thinking about that lemon chiffon cake for ages). We would stay again the next time in Calatabiano. Grazie a tutti!"

"Wow the property and staff were excellent! We were exhausted from overnight travel, and even though our room wasn’t ready, Gabrielle welcomed us to enjoy breakfast and the pool area. He was so friendly and hospitable. Angelo was very helpful with our luggage, taxis, and always had a smile whenever we saw him. The breakfast was our favorite compared to the two other hotels we stayed at during our vacation. Monica made us so comfortable and made sure we had anything we wanted. This place is a gem!"

"We felt very welcomed from the moment we entered the property to when we checked out. We were blown away by the small touches and attention to detail the team made for our anniversary. Stefano at reception was helpful and accommodating. Salvatore on the beach went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We also enjoyed the evening piano player and Cristian was very engaging. I also broke a wine glass at dinner but was reassured by Francesco and his staff to not fret. They were so kind. We did find the food and beverage costs to be much more than the other hotel we stayed at in the city of Taormina, but we didn’t let that damper our experience. Grazie!!"

"Dated room, we were in the corner suite with panoramic view, but it was clean, house keeping cleaned daily, maybe twice a day. we had breakfast buffet style, cappuccino, coffee was made fresh for you. Front desks were helpful. I love the balcony and the view. The location is within walking distance to town. Cable car is a few minutes walk to go to isola bella, then is about 10 minutes walk."

"The view and the hospitality. I picked the hotel for location directly across from Isola Bella. Our room was directly facing the island. I love the older Italian decor also. Yes, it needs maintenance but everything was good. Staff were particularly friendly and accommodating. Close to fununcular, beach, restaurants and stores. We did not use bus but the stop was in front of the hotel. Breakfast was also very good."
