The price was so reasonable for all you get. The staff was excellent, super helpful with everything we needed. There's a beautiful temple across the street that you need to check out, and key code across the street for nice breakfast"

Really nice clean and modern public bath, but no cold water bath or dry sauna, only a very spacious and peaceful rectangular public bath with nice outdoor window. Breakfast was great. No lattes at breakfast but very good coffee and juices. Hot dishes were very good as were pastries. About 8 min walk to Nijo station so convenient in many ways to the main subway lines in Kyoto. Would be happy to visit again."

"Very nice Ryokan! Slightly removed from the core but there are 2 buses that regularly go into town so its not a huge issue. We stayed in the private room on the lower floor with the private zen garden, highly recommend if its available as it was amazing for late night drinks, and the sounds of night and the river that runs beside the ryokan. A must stay for a traditional experience! One Laundry + dryer on site for a small charge (plus you need to buy a detergent packet from the front desk, 200yen). The Japanese style breakfast was delicious, make sure you let the staff know the day before if youd like to have it, its 1500yen per person and well worth it! Will definitely be staying here again next time."
