"Classic Japanese interior with tatami flooring but more modern bedding. Walls are thin so be careful not to be too loud and disturb the others. I could hear the conversation of others when they walked by my door and in their rooms when I walked by theirs. Onsen was nice and has a small covered outdoor section. I went inbetween the peak seasons and you can see the the town itself asleep, so many shops were closed. I speak Japanese but the staff were quick to double check if I needed things to be explained in English. I wouldn't bring a big loud group here. I do recommend for a classic quiet, slow, relaxed, Japanese ryokan."

"The room was just like any business hotel room. It was clean but definitely dated in some places. Breakfast buffet was great. Free refreshments. Onsen was great. Our other favorite part was the dinner - our server was so amazing with us and compliments to the chef for preparing the delicious food.
