Top Northern Europe Hotel Reviews

Tivoli Hotel

Tivoli Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel, with everything covered from business to leisure stays. Loads of facilities for children, lovely restaurants and bars and little seating areas everywhere. Really useful cafe area in the lobby for breakfast on the go, or a snack well into the evening. Taxi rank and bus stop right outside and Central train station just about 15 minutes walk away. All the staff we encountered were a perfect balance of professional and friendly. My only - tiny- grumble is that the bath was extremely slippy so a non slip mat would've been great, but that's being picky on an otherwise perfect stay. I'd happily stay again in a heartbeat - have already recommended it to family"

Hotel Riu Plaza London The Westminster

Hotel Riu Plaza London The Westminster

8/10 Good
"This was my first stay at the Hotel Riu Plaza London The Westminster, and overall, I found the hotel to be pleasant and accommodating. From the moment we arrived, the lobby staff were friendly, helpful, and sociable. The check-in process was quick and efficient. Although we arrived before our room was ready, the staff gladly stored our luggage so that we could begin enjoying London without having to carry our bags around. This hotel is very close to top attractions. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was perfectly adequate for our stay. Overall, the room was comfortable and met our needs. Breakfast was average, with a decent selection but nothing particularly extraordinary. One suggestion I would make is to offer mimosas during breakfast, even if they are available for an additional charge. As someone who enjoys a mimosa with breakfast while on vacation, I would have happily paid separately for one. Unfortunately, I did have one uncomfortable experience during breakfast that I feel is worth mentioning. An employee repeatedly hovered around my guest and me while we were eating and remained nearby until we finished. What made the situation particularly noticeable was that the same level of attention was not given to a white family of four seated nearby who had finished their meal before we did. Ultimately, I would definitely return."

"Lovely place to stay, close the botanical gardens, which are free :) Good breakfast, nice rooftop pool. Room view was beautiful, and room was very nice. Had everything we would need. Parking is not on site, so you do have to park a few blocks away, and mine was free from booking on expedia, but otherwise there is a charge."

"The breakfast is a typical English breakfast with good balance of various fruits cereal bread and pastry.the room is clean but not friendly for guests who are not couples. One bed in the room is not the best when traveling without a spouse."

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was very interesting. I didn’t realize I was staying in a cabin, or a “nest” as they call it, until I actually saw it. My double bed room was small enough for one person, so I can’t imagine what a single room looks like. However, for the price I paid in London during high season, it was definitely worth it. Everything is digital. After making your reservation, you receive several emails with steps to get a QR code, which you’ll need to access pretty much everything. If your phone dies, you might be in a bit of trouble, although there always seemed to be an employee on duty. I hadn’t seen the emails while flying, so my check in took about 30 minutes until I completed all the steps. The room feels like a small ship cabin, but I had a very comfortable night of sleep. I didn’t hear any noise from my neighbors and slept very well. The bathrooms are shared, similar to a nice gym. Everything was very clean, you barely bump into other people, and it still feels private. There isn’t much space for luggage, but they offer lockers, so you can just bring what you need into your room. The location is a huge plus, right in the heart of Soho. For young or adventurous travelers, this can be a great option!"
