"Clean, great location and friendly staff. Hot tubs were below 100 degrees which we enjoyed. Quick five minute walk to the boardwalk/wharf. The only issue we had was a maid came into our room when we were away when the Do Not Disturb sign was hung outside. She wrote down her name on the provided spot in the room to tell us who cleaned the room….. but then didn’t clean anything. We notified the front desk that someone had entered the room and they didn’t even ask who it was. Just offered delayed check out. So that was a little uncomfortable, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay."

"Comfy hotel for a family trip. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, both heated and open until 10pm. The lobby also had comfortable places to chill and play games. The room was pretty comfy, but the AC unit could have been more modern. It was hard to keep the room the temp we wanted. We also would have liked an easy way to get hot water on demand for tea and making baby bottles. We had to ask the bar for hot water instead. Overall, we enjoyed this hotel and would come back again."

"Staying at the Dream Inn was a dream. My room was on the second floor with a phenomenal beach view overlooking the ocean, wharf, and boardwalk. Woke up each morning to the sound of crashing waves on the shore. Everything is in walking distance. Parking is available in a designated lot across the street that can be accessed with your room key. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The only minor negative is that the walls are a bit thin and my room was right by the elevators, so you could hear the occasional noise and chatter. But overall it was a great experience and will definitely stay at the Dream Inn on my next trip to Santa Cruz!"

"The room was clean but the AC wouldn’t stay on. The walls are also pretty thin. The lounge plays live music and the staff could get pretty loud at night too. There were random people pulling up at all hours of the night and chatting loudly with the staff. The roads at the hotel are BAD. Multiple giant potholes you have to try to navigate around while entering and exiting the property. Staff was very friendly. The diner on site has good ratings but the food was just okay and took a very long time to come out. Again, the staff were wonderful and very kind. There’s NO service in this area at all but the hotel wifi worked great! Overall, the hotel is just okay. It’s a clean place to sleep!"
