"Staff was great, pool was heated. It was raining so we didn’t partake, but the ambiance was so cool and eclectic. Staff was great and let us leave the car in the parking lot while we went out for an amazing breakfast down the street (Brenda’s soul food… also most excellent!) we walked to the Great American Music Hall for a show. Everything was easy. "

"Hotel Nikko is near tenderloin so be careful walking around at night. The room we got had a Bluetooth speaker in it so that alone would make me inclined to book again. The staff were really nice. The lobby looks clean and modern. It’s a bit dusty in the rooms which caused a lot of allergies but otherwise good stay. "

It;s not the fanciest, but it has so much richness in terms of tradition and getting the most important things right-comfort, cleanliness and great facilities. Chesty's is a real sleeper, I was super surprised how good the food was and the happy hour is very special. I plan on returning often."

The area is very walkable, close to transit, and the sidewalks are free and clear of the obstructions that plague other areas of the city. "Around 40 minutes from the airport and only a few blocks from the metro station. Everything you need is a few minutes walk from the hostel. Property is a great deal and was safe. Welcoming environment and everyone was respectful. Room was clean and working wifi. It’s great to see this type of hostel in the US. "

"Historic property in Pacific Heights. Great location for us and included breakfast. Our suite was spacious and we enjoyed the tall ceilings, and high king size bed. We enjoy staying in historic properties and enjoy the journey into an earlier time. The only challenge is parking, and you have several options nearby."

"I have stayed here for 20 years, it was The Opal and it has been gorgeously remodeled but has all the things I love before. In and out enclosed parking, Mel’s Diner attached so food mostly anytime, comfortable beds👍, conveniently located at Van Ness and Geary Street so Ubers and cabs etc are easy. Tommy’s Joint an SF favorite for great food, beer and cocktails across the street. And a big movie theater practically next door. Very reasonable price for how nice it is now."
