Clean and pleasant stay

Hotel room (twin bed) and bathroom was fairly spacious for Japan standard. Staff were polite, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Hotel was easily accessible - less than 10 minutes away from the metro and there is a straight bus to Osaka station too.

The area of this hotel is in a business district, so it was a quiet, nice, and peaceful area. There is a beautiful park across the street, nearby restaurants and stores. The metro station is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. Overall a great place to stay. There are some minor repairs that the hotel should take care of, but overall I found the rooms to be VERY spacious and modern. Beds are nice and big, three of us fit very comfortably in our beds, one more person would have easily fit. The staff was the most helpful, most friendly, and most professional people that we had encountered during our entire stay in japan (a trip that spanned two weeks and had three separate hotel bookings). I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

The hotel room is very spacious and supplied with thoughtful supplements, like coffee, tea and bottled water. Staff are extremely helpful, always being so friendly. They would even open the lift for you, and always bow to show gratitude. I’m very impressed by the senior manager’s (or maybe he is the owner) warm approach to customers, when I was leaving for the taxi, he even helped me to put my luggage in. They truly serve with a heart. Location is great, 10mins drive from Osaka station, 6mins walk to subway station and there’s plenty convenient stores or restaurants around. Highly recommend this place, made my stay in Osaka so easy, will definitely come back if in town next time.

Hotel Shiki Utsubo is located at a quiet corner of Utsubo Park. It's walking distance to Awaza metro station and 10-15 mins ride to CBD and shopping areas including by public bus. There are some cafes and restaurants nearby including Tiger-8 and Bar Tsubame whiskey bars which are cigar friendly. Key likes about the hotel including large and clean rooms, wonderful bed and pillows, big and modern toilets, 24hr man front desk, good breakfast (although nearly same food everyday). Areas for improvement: I wish that check in time could be earlier if the room is available. The hotel did not respond to my request until the very last minute of which the answer was no. The breakfast also ended early at 9am and the staff was fussy about clearing the dining hall on time (we are tourist so obviously there are times we will wake up late). At checkout, we were informed that there was no taxi available for booking at 5am to the bust terminal to airport even though we requested the day before which the hotel staff did not inform us. But the hotel staff did his best to flag a taxi and luckily managed to get one.

I've had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Shiki several times now and each visit has been fantastic. The facilities are immaculate, the staff are incredibly friendly, its close to Awaza station, and taxi's queue up across the street at the park which is incredibly convenient.
