Palm Springs and its attractions for beach lovers

While Palm Springs is celebrated for its desert landscapes and luxurious resorts, it does not boast nearby beaches as it is inland in Southern California. However, for those who crave a beach experience during their stay, a short drive will lead you to the stunning shores of Palm Desert, just around 30 minutes away. Here, you can explore the picturesque Lake Cahuilla, where you can relax on sandy shores, paddleboard, or enjoy a family picnic. For a genuine beach experience, head to the Coachella Valley’s Salton Sea, where unique wildlife and breathtaking sunsets await. For those keen on water activities, the nearby Agua Caliente Casino offers a luxurious pool area, complete with cabanas and a lively atmosphere. Alternatively, consider taking a day trip to the vibrant beaches of Palm Beach, where you can enjoy sunbathing, beach volleyball, and water sports. In Palm Springs itself, you’ll find an array of opulent hotels that promise attentive service and exquisite surroundings, making it an excellent base for your desert adventures paired with beach excursions.

10/10 Excellent
"Great quick stay at this well-maintained property. Lovely gardens even included hummingbird feeders. Property felt secure. Lots of reviews mentioned nighttime club noise but it was 100 degrees on a Sunday night in August during our stay -- not a prime party time for Palm Springs, I'd imagine. A/C in the room was loud but we had earplugs at the ready and the room was cool and comfortable. Easy walking distance to Bill's Pizza, a new PS favorite. Hot breakfast was nice and set us up for a long day on the road. Friendly font desk staff on either end of the visit."
