Please read as never again for me
Very disappointed with this hotel. I have never asked for a room change before but this was something different. The first room had no window neither did the second room they offered me. Finally got a room with a window only to find later the balcony door lock did not work. The fridge smelled beyond words and I told hotel but they just wiped it out. The staff are very polite but does knit make up for the hotel itself. If you want to go to Cambodia and be surrounded by tourist with western food everywhere and English speaking entertainers in the bars this could be the place for you but I would give it miss. The area was very safe and near several places of interest.

One day pool chillan
Workers wer so nice made us feel very welcome the whole day around the pool. The pool was very nice and relaxing to hang by all day. Room was good for the price. Very comfy bed.

good for a couple of nights
There’s a lot of construction on the street from 7:00am-6:00pm which interferes with middle of the day swim in the pool. Otherwise the room fits what you pay for... no frills but a clean bed and a fridge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Television was not working but Home Chic staff had it fixed immediately after feedback. Floor was dusty. Bedsheets had black spots and had to sweep it away manually. The area is having some construction works going on. It can be pretty noisy as early as 7am.

Such lovely staff. The place needs decorating and some repairs. The outside looks nice . Unfortunately it's in a grotty street. My wife and I did not feel safe walking around in the evening

Good little hotel in a great location - central for everything you need to do in PP. swimming pool was nice, food was good and staff were very helpful. Only reason not getting 5 stars is that rooms are a little bit more tired then what they look in the photo - nothing wrong with them at all just a little tired. The best thing about this hotel is the staff - everyone was so helpful and friendly from the receptionist to the restaurant staff to the cleaner - they all knew what room you were in and asked you how your day was if you had been on a trip. Can’t fault them! All in all would recommend this hotel.

Good but noisy
The hotel was very nice, the pool and bar area was kept very clean and tidy, the staff were also very friendly, helpful and attentive and helped us to book tours and a bus to our next location. The breakfast was also very good, buffet with choice and your choice of eggs made for you. The omelettes especially good. The WiFi is also good and fast. However the location where the hotel was is an issue, all around there are high rise buildings going up with lots of building wok going on, often starting quite early in the morning resulting in it being very noisy very early with drilling and other noises. Obviously this is not the hotels fault but you do get woken up so I would advise bringing earplugs. Other than that a very good hotel and very good value for money.

One of the best deals in Phnom Penh! Very beautiful hotel in great area of town. There are definitely cheaper options in Phnom Penh but this is one of the better value deals. You don’t need anything nicer than this. Beautiful pool good breakfast good WiFi ect

main door and toilet door both got problem ....lucky they have a extra room for us to change....the only thing that got thumbs up was the hotel staffs , especially the receptionists, they were helpful and friendly...location was ok , away from main street and not too far off.

Great Hotel in good location and good value
We stayed 4 nights at the home chic hotel. The hotel is very nice, in a good location. The staff were very helpful booking trips and things we needed. The pool area is nice and kept spotlessly clean by the very hard woring pool man and his colleagues. Breakfast was ok and maybe some more seats available at busy times would be good. For the money, this is an excellent value hotel.

Nice hotel, shame about the smoking policy
I have been travelling to Cambodia for many years for work and thought I would try somewhere different for my short trip. I chose Home Chic Hotel based on its location and positive reviews, and it did not disappoint. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony which was very nice and much appreciated. However, I noted that the smaller rooms had small windows and upon the smells emanating from one of these bedrooms as I walked past, I asked the staff if there was a no smoking policy or non-smoking rooms. To which the reply was no - people can smoke in any of the rooms. This is a concern as it would mean that the rooms will smell due to the limited ventilation and also with time. Will I stay there again? Possibly not as I will not stay in smoking rooms. The hotel is relatively new and does not have entrenched smoke stench yet but if they allow smoking in all rooms then this is inevitable. What a pity as I liked everything else about it.

Average stay Staff very money conscious first thing mentioned when checking in was that breakfast was not included, second thing is arrange tour with us. Constantly hasselled everytime you leave the hotel for tuk tuk. We booked one tour, advertised as $11 but we had to pay $15 as they had to use another company??? Was told it included pick up and drop off at hotel but when we wanted to come back we were told we had to pay more, tried to speak to reception once we finally got back only to have a language barrier. Hotel its self was ok Food average ordered a vegetarian meal only to find chunks of chicken in it again tried to advise staff of this only to be hit with the ‘language barrier’ again. Oh and clearly an ant problem which I only discovered once trying to pack my bag.

We stayed at Home Chic for a total of 4 nights, we had an enjoyable experience at the hotel. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the room was all that you needed, with nice bathroom, room safe and was cleaned well. The hotel was in a good position with tuk tuk,s costing usually 3US to go to most places. The breakfast was excellent with a choice of both Cambodian and continental. We ate in the restaurant and found the food good and reasonable priced. The bar had Happy Hour which kept the drink at a good price. I would stay here again!

Great place
The staff here are super, very friendly and helpful. They all spoke English well and always had a smile for you. The rooms were great, clean and comfortable. Good wifi, a/c and tv. Breakfast in the morning was really good with made to order omelettes and a selection of breads, Asian food and salad. There is a lot of contruction happening around the hotel so a bit noisy. Fairly close to the waterfront, just a short tuktuk ride. Would recommend this place.

The front desk was just not helpful. Unlike our experience across Bangkok and then Siem Reap, where the hotel staff was very helpful and helped arrange tours into the city, there was no option like that over here. They had 2 expensive choices but not guidance on how to take the TukTuk tours. On asking about the river cruise, they went ahead and booked the cruise without our confirmation or discussion. After an amazing tour, this last stop soured the taste of our wonderful trip

Great little boutique hotel.
Great food, friendly staff, good location, nice pool, great cable and WIFI; which was really important. Room had huge wrap around windows and a balcony. Delicious breakfast. My son broke a coffee cup in the room and they told us no charge don't worry about. Excellent all around.

Beautiful hotel with very lovely staff :)
We stayed here for 2 nights when exploring Phnom Penh. The staff were very welcoming and always lovely, chatty and very helpful. Our room was very comfortable and had nice modern decor. The shower was very good especially after a hot day out! Would really recommend as it was great value. Walls were a little thin so we wore earplugs I think it's the same throughout most of Cambodia. There was construction opposite but it didn't bother us as we were out and about before they really started making much noise. We found it easy to walk around to sightsee or there are tuk tuks everywhere you could take too if you aren't keen on walking about in the heat.

Hotel in the heart of city
Simple, clean, great staff, and close to everything I need in the BKK1 area of Phnom Penh. The only problem is construction happening around the hotel, which really isn't their fault, but it does mean a lot of noise and dust. The whole city is going through a horrible build-up of ultra-tall buildings so it's quite hard to escape that...

Nice hotel in handy location
Close to the Independence Monument and surrounded by a great selection of restaurants this os a good find in a central location. Most sights are within a decent walk or a short tuk tuk ride. I was initially a little disappointed with the room as the view was non existent and I kept the curtains shut the whole time I was there. The room itself was a good size and spotlessly clean. Comfy bed, good shower and great a/c. Acceptable breakfast buffet meant I could fill up til a late lunch!

The location is fantastic as it was easy access to my office. However, my room floor had a thin film of gray construction dust, it had no towels, no complementary drinking water and it looked like the room had not been cleaned for days. Although not the fault of the hotel, I was woken up at 6:45am by banging and grinding from a construction building, which is only a metre or so from the hotel building. That said, when I complained to the hotel, I got a very nice room that had non of the problems encountered in the first room

A great hotel for 3 stars
Great staff, clean room with good air con. We stayed on the 3rd floor and Internet wasn't any good, ok down in the lobby. They allowed us to check out at 2pm also

Nice pool, wonderful staff
The hotel has a nice pool and bar area with good food. The staff is wonderful! The room is nice other than the bathroom being warm due to the window not closing all the way.

Great reception,great food,was always willing to accommodate any of my requests. There was noise with nearby construction,if it was not for the staff being so pleasant I would have moved out earlier,A one day booking turned into four,thanks to the staff at the front desk for looking after me.
