"The staff were so accommodating and helpful. Especially patient and kind to my daughter and granddaughter at check-in when I was unable to arrive until much later. Communication between us and the hosts were timely and supportive. The staff who changed the towels and bins was also very pleasant and patient. "The hotel and the rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. However, the service did not quite meet our expectations. When we arrived, our room was missing some basic amenities, and it took multiple calls to have the issue addressed. While the staff eventually resolved the situation and made an effort to compensate for the inconvenience by gifting us a bottle of wine, it would have been preferable if everything had been prepared properly from the start. Other than that staff was friendly and the location was great!"

"I would actually give this a 4.5. It was great, but not perfect. It did fit our needs well. The indoor pool is actually great. My problem with indoor pools is ventilation - I hate the smell of chlorine in the air. They have done a decent job ventilating the spa area. They have put effort into aesthetics, and it really helps. The mood is relaxing (though there are plenty of families - but the kids seem to get that it is a tranquil environment. The room is nice. The area is convenient - it is out of the primary tourist area. You can go across the main boulevard and be right in the thick of the tourist sites, or you can go into the area behind the hotel, where locals live. I love this access to both. We went to a wonderful grocery store around the corner and bought wine, cheese, salami, etc. and had a picnic on the terrace. The hotel has some really nice outdoor, common space, on the top floor. The views are nice and it is well appointed with comfortable seating. The days in Florence were hot, when we were there - in the 90s and we loved coming back to the spa to unwind. I would stay there again."

"The welcome when we arrived was professional and friendly. They had popsicles to take due to the heat. The breakfast buffet was incredible. Lots to choose from including champagne and ingredients to make Bloody Mary’s. The room was just the right size for a couple travelers. The elevator is small but that’s to be expected and it worked great. Location is good for walking, very close to lots of shopping and the statue of David."

"Lovely hotel, a really nice setting with Alesia their restaurant attached to the hotel. Our room had a radio and was switched on when we arrived and used this every day which was a really nice touch. Our room was next to ongoing construction across the road so be aware as me and my wife were woken up early on due to early start times to avoid the heat. Unfortunately we also both got bitten a lot by mosquitos in the room, presumably making their way into the room via the air conditioning. Other than that, I would stay again"
