Good hotel with yummy breakfast

It was a nice hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast. Just requires a little maintenance in the shower/bathroom area as the shower cube was leaking water into the bathroom and also the sinks were clogged.

Excellent place! Just a short walk to the Selaron staircase and the São Sebastião Cathedral. And it’s a market in the streets just one block away some of the days, with live music. And it’s a very nice place on the rooftop with excellent view and a pool.

The staff were great. Housekeeping was good as well plus the location was central. The gym is not exactly functional because of the old and broken equipments. The bathroom tiles could use some fresh grout in certain areas and silicone replacement for the edges.

I didn't like the smell of sewer in my room at times. I hated that the maid stole my son's money and when we had dinner in their restaurant they couldn' t find change for us and suggested we go in the streets to find change knowing we don' t speak Portuguese!

🇺🇸 As an American visiting Brazil, I felt very safe and welcomed. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and friendly. The nightlife here is 🔥 busy — especially since you’re right in the city center. If you’re hoping for a quiet, relaxing night, just know this area stays active late 🌃. 📍 You’re walking distance to popular spots like the Arches of Lapa and the Selarón Steps 🎨, which is perfect for sightseeing. Breakfast 🍽️ in the mornings is nice, though it can get a little repetitive if you’re staying for a while. The staff was always accommodating and kind 🙌. 🛏️ The room itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom 🚽 felt a little dated — the toilet showed some yellowing and could use an upgrade. There were snacks 🍫 and drinks in the room, but they’re pricey 💸. It’s better to grab the same things at a local supermarket 🛒 for way cheaper. 🏊‍♂️ I wish the pool and gym 🏋️‍♀️ stayed open 24 hours (they close at 10 PM ⏰). But with Brazil’s famous beaches 🏖️ like Flamengo, Copacabana, Ipanema, and more nearby, you’ll have plenty of options to enjoy during the day 🌞. Overall, it’s a fun and convenient spot if you want to be in the heart ❤️ of the action and experience Rio’s nightlife, culture, and energy ✨.

I stayed in room 1008. The staff was nice, the room was clean but the bathroom was very, very small. The hotel does not have signs to indicate when a guest wants housekeeping services or when not to be disturbed. I asked the concierge to let the housekeeping staff know in advance that i did not wish to be disturbed. The following morning, I was disturbed by housekeeping staff , inquiring if I wanted the room clean. They rang my room's bell twice at different times and woke me up. I had arrived in the hotel very late from hanging out. I was not happy about this.

My husband and I had a wonderful 11 night stay at the Americas Granada Hotel. The hotel has all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The rooms and the public areas of the hotel are extremely clean. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming and the service by the front desk, the housekeeping and the restaurant workers is excellent. You can easily access all major tourist sites from the hotel and the hotel’s rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of the surrounding area is an added bonus. The area around the hotel is safe and walkable and there are a few good places to eat around the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel.

There is no hot water no microwave and no refrigerator in your room it's always loud and it's only one guy at the desk that helps you as you arrive all the other ones have you stand there for ten to 15mins while they do everything besides helping you

Minha hospedagem no Hotel Granada, localizado na Lapa, no Rio de Janeiro, me proporcionou uma mistura de impressões positivas e negativas. É um hotel que, no primeiro contato, aparenta ser bem estruturado, com um lobby organizado e uma equipe que, na recepção, mostra-se atenciosa. No entanto, ao longo da estadia, percebi contrastes gritantes entre alguns pontos fortes e outros extremamente falhos, que, na minha visão, comprometem de forma significativa a experiência do hóspede. Começando pelos aspectos positivos, destaco que o hotel possui um bom número de funcionários atuando na área da cozinha e no serviço de café da manhã. A quantidade de pessoas trabalhando nesse setor demonstra um esforço para manter o atendimento aos hóspedes com agilidade e reposição constante dos itens servidos. O café da manhã, de fato, é bom: variedade satisfatória, alimentos frescos e apresentação adequada. Não é nada extremamente sofisticado, mas cumpre bem a função de oferecer uma refeição matinal agradável. No entanto, essa atenção ao café da manhã contrasta fortemente com o que encontrei no quesito limpeza — especialmente nos banheiros dos quartos. Aqui, a situação é preocupante. A higiene deixa muito a desejar, e não estou falando de pequenos detalhes que poderiam passar despercebidos, mas de uma sensação geral de descuido e falta de profundidade na limpeza. O banheiro em que fiquei hospedado apresentava manchas permanentes, azulejos com sujeiras acumuladas nos rejuntes e um odor ruim.
