You cannot do better than the Sheraton Rio with full service a private beach and great pool. Wonderful breakfast and restaurants and great staff that was always helpful. Highly recommended.

Great location. Restaurants are good but service can be slow. Everyone who works there are really nice. Massages, salon and spa also very good. Can’t beat the beach right there. Can hear the waves crashing at all times. Do not pre pay for meals. Not worth since menu is limited. They do not offer the all inclusive option anymore.

The staff and food were good to great. We were on the 2nd floor of the property with an ocean front room and it just happened to be in line with the tree canopies which made it hard to see the ocean. The drains in the bathroom were slow and the carpet was definitely in need of an update. The ice machines on our floor and the immediate ones around it were out of order. Generally the property did not live up to my expectations of a Sheraton or Marriott.

The hotel has great facilities, great outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi and access to a small beach that’s pretty "private" during weekdays (not during weekends when people from the Favela are also there). The staff was unfriendly sometimes and wasn't really helpful with some issues we had during our stay. Bedrooms are normal but with an "old fashioned" look. We had free water and coffee during all our stay. The breakfast was very good and complete but be aware of huge lines during the weekend. All in all, we liked the hotel considering the price.
