Overall the rooms were really nice, the balcony had an amazing view, the beds were very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and polite. The only teeny thing would be that the ac was not working properly. Would love to stay again!

Travelling to and from hotel is a bit ackward as either you take a bus which takes an hour to go more centrally or otherwise a train but with a very bad schedule (every 1or 2 hours).

We ate dinner in the restaurant the last night we stayed there and it was very good. I highly recommend the Spaghetti All'etrusca. Bartender has a heavy hand as well.

Let’s get the slight negatives out of the way first. 1) It’s a LONG way from the city and is over an hour on public transport. (2) the decor is slightly tired (3) The televisions can be on a little loud in the downstairs lounges. Other than that - ITS WONDERFUL! We enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly, it was reasonably priced and value for money. I have seen the negative reviews - each to their own I suppose but there was little I saw to justify the criticism in them. So for me I’d definitely RECOMMEND the Colony Hotel given the parameters above.

Inexpensive, easy to get taxi to Vatican, and very helpful receptionist. Hotel is simple, traditional and basic. Be aware: zero sockets or USB charging points in room. Shower is very slim so can only partially get in in and water gets all over floor. Generally quiet area, some noise from scooters going past.

We wanted somewhere that was accessible to the Stadio Olimpico in the northern part of the city and this hotel didn't disappoint. We stayed for 2 nights in a twin room. We had an issue when we 1st arrived but it was quickly resolved with the staff who are very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived quite late but were still able to get drinks. The rooms could do with a lick of paint but don't let that detract you from the fact the rooms and bathroom are very clean. There's adequate towels provided in the bathroom also. Only downside we found, there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast was €10 which I'd definitely recommend. A good choice and variety. The hotel is easy accessible on the buses into Rome itself. The bus stops are a 5 minute walk which was handy. It was a pleasant stay.

It was not that clean and smelled very bad. It was also very moist in the room and things that were dry got moist and smelled bad. The lobby was a bit strange and there was no music. The staff was ok but we were never greeted with a smile.

At check in: Parking was strange (you have to inform them every time you leave so they can lock and unlock a space), and we were charged again for a random city tax we had already paid when booking. Room: No air conditioning. Ad stated AC but we were told when we complained about how hot the room was, they stated that the AC wasn’t turned on until May 1. Bathroom: It didn’t have cold water at the sink and the hand held shower had to be “held by hand” (there was no way to hang it up) and the door was completely rotten. At the bottom. Staff: Only one of the two agents were friendly. Not very welcoming. Attached restaurant: Coffee bar was good but restaurant did not have anything available that was shown to us on the menu. Very disappointed.

"Hotel" 3 stelle SI DEFINISCONO. Esperienza pessima. Gestito da una signora credo dell'Europa dell'Est che si fa chiamare "la responsabile", con un altra signora credo sempre della stessa nazionalità, e lo specifico solo per far capire chi sono a livello visivo. Che non sanno come si gestisce un Hotel. Nella mattinata di Sabato, dalla mia camera udivo parolacce e urla verso i ragazzi che facevano le pulizie perchè probabilmente non si apriva la porta di una camera...E una delle due RESPONSABILI urlava come una pazza , non preoccupandosi minimamente degli ospiti delle stanze vicine (tipo me). Camere con vernice scrostata, piatti doccia sporchi pareti sporche, grate condizionatori arrugginite , arredamento vecchio e messo male. Materassi concavi. E' stato un incubo. E voglio fermarmi qui, perchè su punti DAVVERO importanti come le disabilità di un cliente , è meglio tacere. Oltretutto anche caro visto quello che NON offre. Due notti 165 euro SENZA colazione. SCONSIGLIATO. In zona c'è di meglio a meno.

Struttura comodissima per spostarsi. La stazione vigna clara è a 1 a piedi. Come lo è il bancomat dove mi hanno costretto a prelevare i contanti per il pagamento della tassa di soggiorno ( altrimenti non mi avrebbero dato la stanza). Sfruttano il fatto di essere nei pressi della caserma dei carabinieri e quindi è frequentata da vari partecipanti ai concorsi. Pulizia pessima, cortesia pari a zero. Ho chiesto della carta igienica per la stanza e mi hanno liquidato dicendomi che avevano da fare. Boh. Avrei altro da aggiungere ma preferisco non perdere tempo.
