We ate dinner in the restaurant the last night we stayed there and it was very good. I highly recommend the Spaghetti All'etrusca. Bartender has a heavy hand as well.

Inexpensive, easy to get taxi to Vatican, and very helpful receptionist. Hotel is simple, traditional and basic. Be aware: zero sockets or USB charging points in room. Shower is very slim so can only partially get in in and water gets all over floor. Generally quiet area, some noise from scooters going past.

Overall this place is ok for 1 night. It’s far from city centre, the wifi has trouble on the 5th floor. For a traveller from a different country this makes it difficult to look things up or check for important emails. To use the wifi I had to go into the lobby. The room was dirty, ants, dirty carpet, stains all over the walls. There is no air flow inside the room apart from opening the window, but then you get the smell of smoke from cigarette all around. I would not come back. However, the restaurant is great.

Inexpensive hotel. Safe and clean. No heat and wouldn’t turn on. Luke warm showers. The two combined made showering very uncomfortable especially for a vacation. But keep in mind price of hotel.

Worst hotel ever, no AC in a hot room, tiny creepy elevator, tiny beds, pillows flatter than a pancake and horrible customer service. Arriving to this hotel really ruined my first holiday in Rome, skip this if you can. There are plenty of hotels you can get for the price.

If I had been travelling on my own I would probably rate this hotel a 4 or 5 as it had everything I needed for a basic hotel on the edge of Rome. However, I was travelling with my friend who is a full time wheelchair user and this hotel is NOT wheelchair accessible and for her we'd rate it a 1 or 2 at most. The lifts to the upper floors were not wide enough for the wheelchair, nor were the doors into the first 2 rooms we tried. The third room we tried the door way into the bedroom was wide enough, but she could not get into the bathroom. We had requested a wheelchair accessible room when booking and had tried to confirm this with the hotel, but had no reply from them. At first the staff were not very helpful, until my friend had to sit on the floor of the lift and dismantle the wheelchair to get it into the lift. Eventually, they said we could use the service lift which was a bit wider and access the room through the cleaning cupboard. Access to the bathroom though was still not possible with the wheelchair.

We had an okay stay at colony hotel. The rooms that were advertised were nothing like the room we got on arrival. The shower watered the floor more than it actually washed you! The hairdryer wasn’t working, the tv didn’t work and I’m sure one bed had bugs as I woke up the next morning with 5 bites on my body. One member of staff was lovely. He sorted some of the issues out. However when we arrived at the hotel the lady was very unwelcoming and unhelpful. We ended up checking out a night earlier as we couldn’t bare it anymore and wanted a proper shower!! We asked for a new room in which we were told there was none left despite finding some online. Overall I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Sadly first day no air conditioning. Fixed. Then we had bees in our bathroom. Housekeeping said they fixed the problem. More bees the next day. They tried blaming it on us as if we openes the window to the clearly seen nest. Said they couldn’t do anything for is and we needed to email the manager. Did twice no answer.

Pleasant Stay
The hotel is in a good location away from main roads so it is quiet. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Since my stay was during winter, it was good that the hotel room was warm. Overall, good value for money.

Dont do it!!!
The pictures are NOT reflective of what you get at all in person. The main lobby area and bathroom are the only nice part about this entire hotel. The rooms are super small, our toilet didnt work and they did NOTHING about it. It smelled. The heating was way too over powering and we could not do anything. They only gave towels, that seemed damp. The restaurant downstairs was a joke, the food was served cold and overpriced for the area.

my only advice/complaint would be get a room with a bathtub because one with just a shower is impossible to use if you have a size to you. Staff was awesome always willing to help and accommodate.

Didn't like the twin beds. Hotel was a little too far away from the restaurants and shops. Next visit we will stay a little closer to activity. Room was very small. No wash clothes. The breakfast every morning was amazing. Staff very friendly. Loved the outside areas except for the smoking.

The hotel was pleasant but dated and in my opinion in need of a general refreshment. The staff were excellent and friendly. The food available was excellent but limited. Breakfast was disappointing personally but that would be due to personal preference

The location was not ideal. No restuarants or eating places nearby. Also a very isolated part of the city... not the ideal place for a tourist. No facilities and room not taken to care... bulbs not working etc.

Not happy about paying to park on arrival! Hotel is superbly located with good access to all the sights we wanted to visit room was nice and clean but the bathroom was substandard and dated with a very small shower and 1970s shower curtain that stick to your body as your trying to shower!! All said good value for your money

A Fading Touch of Elegance
A comfortable hotel and restaurant. A nice balcony which we enjoyed. Some of the furniture and fittings had seen better days but there was an atmosphere of richness that indicated in its prime it had been a very elegant building.

Stole I was double charged and Items was stolen.
Horrible. upon arriving to the hotel I had to pay the taxes or the manager would not give me my room key. I gave her all The cash I had at the time 14 euro and charged the other $2 on my card not realizing she charged my card 16. I was double charged $16,my credit card and $10.00 was was stolen from me, I put these items away in my suitcase , searched every where in my luggage but never found my credit card or the $10.00. I was supposed to have a double room,my rm was so small I became sad and depressed every time I was in the rm. All of the hotel information wss in Italian, no english directions to assist with planning actvities.On the forth day I went to another hotel.

Dear Guest, All the accusations that you brings us must proved, it is a very serious thing that you wrote, if the room was not on your expectation, it would have been enough to come on Reception and kindly ask to be changed and I assure you that our very professional Receptionists would have changed it. Moreover, the English language is spoken by everyone and also very well and not only this, but all the information are written in English. The next time, before leaving such a comment,be sure you are writing the truth and nothing else!
