"The rules of what is or isn’t allowed is not clear when booking this condo on Expedia. Apparently, you aren’t allowed to have visitors but residents can. It’s pricey for the size of the condo. It’s less money by going to the Otium website and booking there instead. The place was clean and smelled good but I did find one roach in the hallway bathroom. But none after that. "Se explotó la llave de la bañera y se inundó el piso de agua tuve que limpiar el agua casi todo un día porque mantenimiento no llegaba. Los guardias de seguridad no podían hacer nada y la persona encargada del edificio nunca apareció lo cual gasté un día de mis vacaciones. Luego cerraron la pluma del agua y me dejaron sin agua en todo el apartamento a horas de irme ni me pude bañar. Muy inconvenient."

"We spent a few days here with our family and kids ages 10-15. We had an ocean view which was amazing. You do have to call a shuttle though if you want to go to the main resort. We had friends who traveled with us and they were all at the resort so we had to travel there several times. No big deal but definitely need to think about. I think it would have been better if it were just me and my wife at a place like this because we enjoy lingering over views and getting room service, our kids just want to go go go and have fun. Great place, beautiful pool, but if you have kids you might want to stay at the resort."

"Me encantó este hotel sobre todo la limpieza, bien ordenado, camas cómodas, tenia todo lo que necesitas. El aire acondicionado y wifi funcionando súper bien. Desde que realicé la reservación hasta el día de llegada se mantuvieron en comunicación, dieron recomendaciones para alquiler de auto y tours. En la mañana me escribieron y me indicaron que tenian la habitación lista, que podía realizar el check in tan pronto llegara el ferry. El trato y servicio fue espectacular. Lo recomiendo 100%."

"Staff was really helpful. Everyone was pleasant. Sad that there was not a beach that you could swim at. The pools were great and nice and clean. The bartenders at the pool were all great. The coffee shop was great. Good coffee, great service. And fresh breads and fresh pastries, delicious. The grounds were beautiful. Golf cart was alot of fun riding around checking out the wicked large resort. Disappointed with some areas of the resort that need upgrades or repairs. Example: glass slider in our room the handle was hanging on by 1 screw. Also the curtains for glass sliders were very dirty. Room was very clean. Had a nice visit. A/c worked great. We had a great trip."

"Our stay at El Conquistador Resort was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautiful and well-maintained the property was. Everything was spotless, and the grounds were breathtaking. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, making us feel truly welcomed throughout our stay. A special thank you to the concierge team, who went above and beyond to make my daughters' birthday celebration unforgettable. They handled all the arrangements with such care and attention to detail, and everything came together perfectly. Seeing the smiles on my daughters' faces made the celebration a huge success, and we're so grateful for all their hard work. This was an unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to return. I highly recommend El Conquistador Resort to anyone looking for exceptional service, a beautiful property, and a truly memorable vacation."

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort

"Beautiful and upscale property nestled between the beach and the rainforest. Every time we walked in the hotel, it smelled fantastic and it felt like an elevated experience. He staff were all very helpful and kind. Grounds were immaculate! Saw iguanas, turtles and ducks. Kids loved hopping between the different pools and the two waterslides. The beach sand is not white just FYI, and the surf can be a bit dangerous at certain times for kids especially. I did get in it on our last day and it was fine but there are signs to be aware of riptide currents so it’s not the best beach for small children. We truly had a great time! Did want to note there isn’t any main activity area inside for kids/families such as a game room or movie room. It’s mostly all around the pool. My kids also were wanting to do mini golf, but they didn’t have that. Would be a great addition! There can be quite a wait in the morning for breakfast and coffee at Roots To Go (yummy food!) so if you are in a hurry, just get there early as you can. They did run out of things like donuts and pastries. Food quality was excellent! There is a gift shop with a few snacks, but not much to choose from as it’s mostly souvenir and clothing items. The hotel should consider adding a grab and go convenience type store for those trying to get to the rainforest, Old San Juan, etc early or anyone needing a quick lunch or snack with picky kiddos!"
