Just one thing :-) with us you can definitely enjoy some activities. Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Hiking, Massage, Fish-Spa etc. Also, we are located very close to most attractions on the island. Since Professor Jeffrey just gave us a bad review but didn't give an explanation, we'll do it for him. So you know the frustration he did it out of. Professor Jeffrey accuses us of charging new booking fees (not true) to the already prepaid booking during the check-in process. Secondly, we did deny him his/our accommodation. He reported the following to Expedia: We quote: “Hello Lodging Partner, Our mutual customer reached out to us and complained that they were denied accommodation. On top of the payment for this prepaid reservation, they claim that you were asking for additional fees for the to check-in.” To this day we don't know what he meant by that. This report reached us the next day after Professor Jeffrey and company had already slept with us one night. FYI: During check-in on our website you can pre-book massages, diving, motorbikes, etc. if you wish. These are so-called payable extra services. And, as the word "extra services" already says, they can be booked extra - they don't have to! However, Professor Jeffrey apparently did not understand how to fill in the required fields and upload photos of IDs to complete this check-in. Which, by the way, hundreds of guests before him could do. And all within five minutes. Do the check-in before arrival and go straight to the room on arrival - no more paperwork required. We think that's a good service for the guest. Anyway, the management took the liberty of confronting Professor Jeffrey about his allegations the next morning. Which he didn't appreciate at all. He also slandered ever having reported something like this to Expedia! OK. Of course, as a hotel, we also don't like it when we are wrongly and without reason accused like in his case. After the chat and enjoying our breakfast, he decided to leave our resort early and place a review like he did. End of the story. We wish other hotels the best of luck. NOTE: The resort received several email threats from Professor Jeffrey prior to his arrival. For example, the following to our reception: We quote: “Okay you have ONE last chance to get this right, Expedia has given up trying to get you to answer your phone. You have my money (via Expedia and Credit Card). We will be arriving on a ferry at 1:30 this afternoon and expect transportation to your resort. I will happily pay for any ADDITIONAL expenses incurred during our stay, but I will NOT pay your booking fee again. I have traveled abroad extensively in my 59 years and have never experienced as bad a check in process as yours! I really hope your resort is worth this trouble." There are more of this style emails in rude tone. But we let it be with that one.

How do you think we can be a that good resort anonymous? Good staff deserves good salary. Plus high first quality ingredients cost more then third ingredients. Dont you think so? But the most important question still remains, why did you book in into the highest, most expensiv category or villas you possibly could if the high premiuim shocks you that much. Maybe next time should try a lower level hotel.

But they coming about twice a year in one night and then just disappear.As a little tip for the next time, just light up on the terrace, dark in the room and they all go outside right away. It does last about 10 minutes only. It works! :-)

We like your story Angele & Marc Gandon. We're just not sure if you're writing from us or another hotel. Before each booking, you can finally decide where you want to spend your vacation. No hotel forces you to do so. And everything was so bad with us! We then wonder why we have received no complaints from you. As you write, the intrusive manager and staff were always present. We would complain if that were the case! We are also tired of reading about our quiet location. There are guests who come because of that. However, they can ride a motorcycle or simply rent a tricycle. And theese days there are websites like ours, where you can find out everything you want to know before you book a room. The fact that you and your wife cannot ride a motorcycle is very disadvantageous, but you cannot blame the hotel for that either. Again, you have booked yourself with us. After all, you could break out of the golden cage with a tricycle to go on an Island tour, for 2600 pesos for two people a whole day - which, according to our driver, was too much for you. We are truly sorry that we did ask you to pay for the island tour...! Oh and one more thing, we are also not responsible for the road construction on the island. Repairing the bad access roads is a matter for the local government, but they collect taxes. And that you once again complained about the transfer to Siquijor Pier for 700 pesos as too expensive when you left and then went to the main road on foot and with all your luggage, is not the hotel's business either. That was your decision. And we are very sorry again, that we are that we were so cheeky to ask 700 Pesos for the 30-minute drive to Siquijor Pier and 30 minutes back. But again the question, why didn't you book the most expensive villa here instead of having cheaper one in a downtown hotel? And finally, again, we wonder how our presence could be too much for you. First, we are happy that our staff and management are present for the guests - that is their job. Secondly, you hardly spent any time in the resort. Except for the free breakfast.
