"Absolutely stunning! We were lucky enough to book the corner room and it was spectacular. The views are incredible and the staff impeccable. There was little need to leave the hotel but we did venture to the marina which is a 45 min walk but great for boat hire. The breakfast was very good and the lady making omelettes is adorable and we wanted to take her with us when we left. Try the cocktail making esp if you like backstreet boys lol. My only warning when booking through hotels.com is to make sure you do get prestige access if you think that’s what you’re getting. A huge thank you to Tom and Carmen. We will be back "

"First of all location is excellent. Can be a bit noisy due to Irish Bar next door. On arrival our bathroom was crawling with ants (which is expected) but lots of black long hair left on shower tiles. Housekeeping not great. They give you kettle in rooms but no tea/coffee/sugar to go with it over 4 days we stayed. Glasses (4 of them) were not changed or washed even. Entertainment was awful. The animation team leader who organised the Bingo which lasted 15 minutes as doing it from his mobile phone was clearly not interested, looked desperate for it to be over with. Lots of hen parties which was off putting when you pay a lot to stay at a 4 star. As always.... many towels left on sunbeds by 8.30am which should not be allowed. Everyone was doing this before going for breakfast. Having stayed at the H10 hotel in Lanzarote, the Casa Del Mar has no comparison I'm afraid. Too many seats at reception and leading down to pool, the space could be managed better."

"I stayed in this hotel with two of my friends (three of us in total). When we arrived to check in the staff were very friendly, approachable and could speak good english. They explained very clearly everthing we needed to know about the hotel. By the recepetion desk were we checked in was a small shop which was good for buying snacks and water. The lift there felt a bit shaky when using it and it took ages to get to our floor and so for most of the time we opted to use the stairs to get to our room. Within the room the bedrooms were a good size for what we payed for and it had two beds side by side, air conditioning, and an open wardrobe that had 4 hangers. The matresses for the beds were fairly comfortable. In the living room was a small sofa that had a pull-out sofa bed and again that mattress was fairly comfortable but not as comfortable as the bed matresses. The kitchen had cups,mugs, plates, knifes, forks, small and large spoons, a bread knife, a small frying pan, a fridge, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a large pot, a pan, two spatulas and two hobs. I would say that the kitcken is best used for making simple meals but i would not use it to make anything complicated. The room also came with a balcony that gave you a good view of Santa Ponca and it came with two chairs and a table. In the room was air conditioning was in the bedroom and the living room which was very good at keeping you warm during the day but at night it can get very warm. Overall good value for money"

" Honestly everything was great once we got there but the service before? Was awful. AWFUL. I wanted to add a guest to my reservation and I could not get in contact with them. I travel a lot and this was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I tried to reach out to the hotel 6 times. I called and they answered but once I said “Hello?”, They hung up on me immediately. I then got a friend who spoke Spanish and they continued the conversation. This happened 3 times and refused to help me with my issue. I used the contact form on the website, I emailed them all over a month in advance, and no response. I even asked Expedia for help and they refused to amend my reservation or offer assistance. So when I got there, the lady working did not apologize nor offer kindness or regret about what had happened. Instead she charged us more than we paid for the initial booking and more than the Bahia Del Sol website price for a double room for two people. This would not had been such a hassle for any other hotel I’ve been to. Nor would it have been such a steep fee when the room already held space for two people. I’m thoroughly disappointed especially since it is a beautiful resort. "
