Find out more about Sentosa Island

Sentosa Island Hotels

Sentosa, rests on the southern shores of the city-state, just a short distance from the CBD. The little island is a favourite with visitors to Singapore, but also appeals to SIngaporeans looking for an escape to the beach without the need for crossing any borders. Sentosa's upscale beach scene has grown to include lots of trendy beach bars, fun activities for kids, and many restaurants. Sentosa is home to Universal Studios and a casino. Resorts World operates the main theme park on the island, offering excellent hotels and facilities for incoming guests.

Attractions on Sentosa

Resorts World is the place to go for the thrills of riding rollercoasters, walking through replicas of Hollywood and the New York streets, and spectacular entertainment shows. After a long day of thrill-seeking, grown-ups can try their luck in the onsite casino, which boasts more than 500 tables of 19 different gaming options.

Of course, Sentosa is all about its beaches. Tanjong Beach is the most tranquil, and a great place to place some volleyball. Tanjong Beach Club is popular on weekends for all day beach parties around the pool with nice beats. Siloso has a magnificent promenade that provides great seating and dining in the evenings. Palawan is another strip of sand that is ideal for a mini escape.

Sentosa is also a favourite for a family outing. Underwater World is still fun to visit, though now in the shadows of S.E.Aquarium, the largest oceanarium in Asia. Fort Siloso rests close by, an educational place to bring the kids to learn about Singapore's war history. Of course, no trip to Sentosa is complete without seeing the famous Merlion.

Restaurants in Sentosa

Dining in Sentosa is slightly different to the experience in the rest of Singapore. Prices are higher and the food tends to cater more for tourists. In the Resort World complex, the hotels boast high-end dining options. However, for a cheaper option with great diversity in cuisine, tourists should head to VivoCity Shopping Mall. Bars are few and far between on Sentosa, although the beaches of the island tend to host music parties on weekends. The larger resorts also feature lounges and bars for guests.
