"This was the best place to stay. It rained throughout our vacation and we couldn’t have found a more comfortable place to relax and watch the downpour. The staff treated us so well. The room was very clean and the grounds were beautiful. I love the architecture of the resort. The generous buffet breakfast in the morning was also a lovely perk, as well as the swim up bar in the pool."

"A true bliss with the highest standard - but let the monkeys teach us, not entertain us We just returned from Ritz-Carlton Langkawi and it was exceptional on every level. *Room:* Impeccably clean, huge, quiet, true Ritz standard. Every detail perfect, from linens to bathroom. *Staff:* Warm, attentive, never intrusive. You feel genuinely cared for, not just served. Malaysian hospitality at its best. *Breakfast:* Outstanding variety, fresh, with local flavors and perfect service even at peak hours. *Beach & View:* Stunning. Private, calm, turquoise water with rainforest as backdrop. You feel in nature but with absolute luxury. What made it UNIQUE for us was the resident troop of dusky leaf monkeys (spectacled langurs). An endangered, gentle species living right in the resort. Watching mothers with bright orange babies in the morning is pure magic — something you will not find in any other luxury resort. One suggestion to make this paradise even better: *Have the naturalist more engaged with guests around the monkeys.* Many guests don't know how fragile they are. A short briefing at check-in or some.leaftllet to explain, or during morning walk — how to behave, keep distance, no feeding / touching, why our human viruses (even a cold) and feeding can cause disease, behavior change and dependence. Ritz has a chance to be a leader in conservation education, not just luxury. The monkeys are a gift, let's help guests protect them"

"The Danna is a small(ish) hotel that trades on its beachfront location and luxurious rooms. We were very happy there during our five night stay. Each of the three restaurants offers decent food and generous portions. The pool area is comfortable, although some maintenance may be required soon. All the staff are lovely. It’s a fine place either to do nothing or to go birdwatching or kayaking. Given the quality of the product the price is more than reasonable. My only criticism is that there needs to be a separate pool area for kids - otherwise the adults who just want to relax will find their day disrupted."

"The sea view was great and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, there were a few things to take note of. The power points on the balcony didn’t work, so we had to check around the apartment to find out which ones were working. No toothbrushes were provided initially. They only provided them after we requested, so it’s better to bring your own toiletries. For food, I would recommend grabbing food from outside as it’s much cheaper. Only one restaurant at the resort was open during our stay, and the prices were quite expensive. There are some shops outside, but the choices are limited. There are also 24/7 shops nearby, which are convenient for emergency purchases. Breakfast was fair—not too bad, but nothing special. Room cleaning could also be improved. The cleaning was quite basic, and the restroom wasn’t properly cleaned. Also, do check whether the balcony has been cleaned, as ours wasn’t cleaned until we specifically asked them to do it. One good thing is that Parade Mall is right beside the resort. It has a supermarket, money changers, and baby shops, which was very convenient for us."
