Top Sogawa Hotel Reviews

Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe Resort & Spa

Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent
"While our stay at this location was short, it was fantastic. They have put in quite a bit of work to make the hotel clean and well taken care of, they rent electric assist bicycles to get to town for groceries or exploring. My family loved the hot springs. Laundry onsite. Beautiful beach nearby, although not great for swimming or snorkeling it was very pretty, quiet, and private. Staff is incredibly helpful. They sell packages that include breakfast and dinner, but not lunch. The buffets are HUGE with tons of food and drink options. I 100% would stay here again."

"The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The location is great. The kumano kodo trail is right behind it. This onsen town will be amazing to visit in winter, it was too bad that we were there in summer!"

Hotel Nosegawa

Hotel Nosegawa

10/10 Excellent
"Excellent onsen hotel right at the end of the first day of the Kohechi Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail. I came for the onsen and mountain seclusion, but they had such good maps of the Kohechi at the front desk that I decided to walk back to Koyasan the day I checked out. Itโ€™s about 20km through the mountains from Nosegawa Onsen to Koyasan, walking on a mix of well-kept trails and paved roads; overall, a moderately difficult hike with very good signage. I highly recommend Kohechi hikers to stay at this hotel."
