"Grounds and hotel well kept. The staff were really attentive and very helpful. The food was lovely and nice they stocked local produce. We tried a English gin which was lovely. "

"We checked in too early so they were kind enough to hold our bags so we could go out & about. He gave us a map with a good explanation of the top spots to see today & tomorrow. The room was quite nice with a storage closet. Tea kettle & Walkers cookies were enjoyed every night. Next door we had breakfast that was good. The walk to train station is only 10 min. The open market on Wednesday & Saturday is to the left then right at light. Plenty of food choices there. It closes up about 5pm. If you want to really save money go to the tourist info place on Broad & sign up for the free walking tour given twice a day 11am & 2pm. This hotel is safe & so convenient to tour Oxford. Highly recommend it! "
