"The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. "Nice hotel, clean and comfortable room with fast wifi. Breafast was delicious and healthy. 8 pm Ramen snack was much appreciated as well as complimentary welcome drink. The staff was friendly and helpful. Family Mart is just across the street from the hotel. Everything is convenient and easy."

"This hotel was very nice. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet is excellent. What impressed me most was the customer service. I left something in my room after checking out and didn’t realize it until the next day. I contacted the hotel through the Hotels.com messaging feature and the staff were so responsive and went above and beyond to coordinate getting this delivered to my next hotel. I did not expect the hotel to respond so quickly and to go as far as to coordinate with the next hotel to ensure my item was returned to me. I am thoroughly impressed with the staff here. I would definitely stay here again."

"This was probably the best hotel I stayed at during my Japan trip! The location was excellent — an easy walk to the morning markets, old town, restaurants, and everything I wanted to see in Takayama. The room was very comfortable, especially the large bed, and I loved having a washer/dryer combo machine right in the room. After traveling and walking so much every day, it was incredibly convenient and worked surprisingly well. One of my favorite touches was the relaxing foot bath area, which was perfect after long sightseeing days. The onsen was also wonderful and made the stay even more special. I also enjoyed the hotel dinner buffet. There was plenty of food, lots of variety, and everything was tasty and well worth the price. Overall, this hotel had all the comfort, convenience, and amenities I could ask for. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting Takayama!"

"This was our 6th 3 ⭐️hotel in Japan and our most disappointing. The room and the location of the hotel was good but what we felt let it down was the breakfast and the lounge area. You had to book a time slot for your breakfast for each day of the stay. Then you had no choice you lined up as if you were in a hostel to receive a Bento box which was alternated one day Western one day Japanese. The Happy Hour was a little disingenuous as all that was offered was sake and beer. I think there could be better accommodation offers elsewhere in Takayama. "
